If I am not mistaken he mentioned somewhere before that he has voted for Dr. Paul the past 2 elections.

What "liberal" policies do you embrace, or hold most dear to your heart?

how about the GOPs attacks on public unions? or unions in general? both my parents were teachers, my sister is a teacher, and if the GOP had their way, teachers would de-unionize and not have a pension. teachers, in most GOPers eyes, are just part time baby sitters.

id say i hold that pretty close to my heart.

I'm with you on this.

You also have the option to 'not vote'.

the "not vote" option is a passive aggressive cop out. no one notices if you dont vote. its not like they say "oh shit, mike didnt vote! we cant proceed!" no, ill probably always vote, and in some cases, itll be the lesser of two evils.

Unions are a good cause, I'll give you that. My grandpa worked for GM, and I have an aunt and uncle that do.

Ron Paul on unions: Basically, people have the individual right to voluntarily organize and collectively bargain, but they shouldn't have artificial power granted to them through force of government.

The choice to "not vote" is just as much a statement as voting for the sake of voting, which is what I think you're doing.

To me, you're half-assing your duties as a citizen if you keep the stance you've got.

the attack on unions has been disgusting. the attack on unions is nothing more then an attack on the middle class. what happened in wisconsin was a tragedy. what happened here in michigan was also a tragedy. why it got less press, i dont know. obama came to my area recently, and said he was supporting unions and all that jazz. the next day, michigan, the prototypical union state, is now a right to work state. fuckin bullshit, and if he publicly supports unions, then thats good enough for me.

Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.
Theodore Roosevelt

Government being bought out now is oddly similar to what was done during his time.

depends on what change you mean. if you mean his war policies, id agree. if you mean "why isnt the damn economy fixed?" well... i never bought into that, because its not a quick fix.

personally, i have no idea why republicans want obama out. he has bent over backwards to please them, met them way more then half way, alienating his liberal voting base in some cases, and yet, they still bitch about how obama sucks. and yet, his tenure hasnt been half as bad as the previous administration.

I don't want to have to vote for a "republican" or a "democrat". I want to vote for someone who describes themself as an American first, and THEN tells you their political affiliation.

I don't wholly agree with either side, but when you look at Dr. Paul, his motives stay the same - give the states power. If you don't like the way your state is run, then you can move, or blame yourself for voting the wrong way.

That is just the most ass backwards shit ever. Let each state become whatever the hell it wants, and then if you're not happy just 'move to a state you like'? WTF kind of plan is that?

http://news.yahoo.com/ron-paul-trillion ... 00554.html

"This Trillion Dollar Plan is not a guess, nor a long-term projection. It doesn't make a weak yet hopeful promise to see results 10 years down the road, it delivers immediately by making the cuts in one budget year and would provide a surplus budget before the end of his first term in office."

SURPLUS! I say we nut the fuck up and make the changes that need to be made.

It's the "ass backwards" Constitution.

Do you have anything real to say about it, or just some bullshit like "it's the constitution".

I'm fairly sure the constitution says more than "let each state do whatever it wants, and if people dont like it they can GTFO"

10th Amendment says any power not expressly within the hands of the federal government is within the power of the states.

For YEARS the federal government has been stepping in and assuming power (i.e. creating federal law), when it should be a state's responsibility (see: Department of Education).
