Although that comment did piss me off, I still do think he cares. A comment I'd be okay with would be, "well, I can understand their frustration. They pay for their tickets and expect to see our best effort on the ice. When I don't play how I should, it's frustrating for me and them." ...but I think he does care. He's just frustrated. If he had a reason not to care, it would have been sometime from after 06-07 to when Pegula purchased the team. I think morale is a lot higher now in general (obviously not this stress) and I'm sure he wantd to perform well and win more than anybody.

I think he cares a lot, but his attitude is that the media and fans are beneath him to some extent. I would guess he places the fans slightly above the media, but it's these small stretches of tough times that this attitude comes out. Maybe it's just what he feels are stupid questions (they're really aren't, it's part of the game) that get his attitude up and it comes off as anti-fan. IDK...on one hand his comments are really enjoyable at times, others he just comes off as cranky.

He's played badly in the last few games. He didn't play badly the first few games right? I'm not trying to be a Miller apologist or anything, but we do all realize there have only been 11 games right? Enroth started two I think, so Miller has started 9, and we're talking about the last 5 or 6 games then. Who do we think we are to think that we can know what's going on in his head, and make judgements about it based on two weeks worth of play?

Miller cares. I handle pressure the same way Miller does apparently. If the team is playing shit fucking defense around me and I am made to look like crap I throw myself under the bus and internalize all frustration(like a good ol' Western European) . Outwardly this could look like you don't give a fuck but I highly doubt he has given up on this team. I am not going to vent frustration to the media but what I would say may come off a bit dickish. But honestly if he were to open up I think a shit storm of epic proportions.

Miller's comments are pretty disturbing. He's really lashing out at the media, who for the most part, have been very supportive of him, writing stories about how Miller is still the guy and Enroth isn't ready yet.

Why can't he just calm down, own up to the fact that he screwed up, and answer questions without an attitude?

i think this sudden and harsh microscope miller is under is probably stressing him the fuck out. people handle things differently, and right now, miller isnt handling this well. but i think people need to relax and see it for what it is, just someone struggling mentally right now. lets not pile it on.
