Wow this is the first I'm hearing of this. Definately not the way the most fan favorite person on this team to talk about the Sabres faithfull.

Definately gone down a couple notches in my book....

GO ENROTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm asking a serious question...where in the quotes was their an offensive comment?

To me, if anything, it sounds like he felt bad for the fans...

I went to the game, but did not boo. And yes atleast 2 of the 3 goals were his fault.

I take offense to him saying "fuck 'em, let them do what they want".

It seems disingenuous to me.

Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres was pulled last night against the Flyers, which means Petulant Ryan met the media on Thursday. He was asked about fans booing him. Miller responded: "I'm not talking about the fans… Because I addressed it last night. They bought a ticket. They want to boo, they want to cheer, they can do whatever they want. It doesn't really matter. They bought the ticket, they can do whatever they want. I'll leave it at that."

FUCK YOU.

I'm not saying that it's Miller's fault the team laid an egg, but the politics of commentary are starting to piss me off. Show some fucking emotion, some desire to win, some desire to hold your teammates accountable.

Why should he care what the fans do anyways?

If he is worried about getting booed or getting cheered he shouldn't be playing hockey. Us as fans do what we want, and the pro athletes ignore us. They should be ignoring us at all times and focus on their games.

Miller didn't show me much tonight. It's like he doesn't care.

There isn't.

I don't get it though...he's saying he doesn't care if the fans boo him when he lets in a shitty goal, it's not like he's saying, "Fuck them for booing me. How dare they." I can see why fans would be pissed at hims aying that, but he was basically saying that they can boo if they want to.

He's saying that the fans pay money to go to a game. and if they want to boo him when's playing bad then he doesn't care.

He should be more concerned about why he is playing the way he is than the fans booing him, which is what he implied in his interview this morning.

Millers comment doesnt really bother me, or at least the context that im reading it in doesnt make it seem bad. The way i read it was "what the fans do with the ticket they bought doesnt matter to me." which i dont see as being a bad thing. he never said that the booing was undeserved or that they shouldnt boo him because of past accomplishments.

The thing is, I think hes right. If I buy a ticket to see Miller play however i choose to react to his performance shouldnt matter to him. the only thing that should is winning the game (which he never said he didnt care about).

I agree with you Fly. He should have worded it a little better and taken a little more personal responsibility then it would be a non-issue. He does need to come out and be a friggin brick wall, like his protege, or he will hear much more chatter about being over-rated.

So I think it's safe to say he'll be playing on Tuesday. How do you think he'll respond?

Miller's comments make it seem like he thinks everyone else is beneath him. Which maybe be true in certain aspects, but it's understandable why that would piss off the fans and media.

Given Lindy's tendency to ride hot goalies, (like when miller was hot at the beginning), I can see the possibility of Enroth getting the start Tuesday at home.

I'd like to know what is going on behind the scenes, especially with how the mindset is in the locker room at practice. Is Miller being smart about it all, or visibly upset? Would the team rather see Enroth right now in net?

miller was pretty upset when it happened, but ive gathered hes settled down and hes ok with letting it play out. HNIC talked about it and said he is going to be just fine, and miller is the sabres guy and has a good head on his shoulders. he will be fine.

He might care.

Probably just a little bit.
