I heard it through the grapevine that Miller will be starting tonight.

Sources close to the situation are agreeing with me, therefore it's a SATW5 alert level!

Shoot, I was hoping they'd give the nod to David Leggio.

I was pretty shocked that Lindy started Enroth in Ottawa, but starting Miller tonight was a no-brainer.

I'm calling it now. Shitstorm or shutout.

That's not a prediction. That's like predicting he'll either win or lose

Never-ever-ever predict a Ryan Miller shutout...the game could be 7-0 and he'd blow it with 6 seconds left....

Shitstorm. Then Enroth comes in and wins it in a shootout.

That's better. Hope you're wrong for Miller's sake.

Personally, I'd have rather seen the Jhonas Brothers stay in there until he loses. That way you both ride the hot goalie (he is playing well) and you maybe light a fire under Miller and get him playing like a man possessed when he goes back in.

Miller Blows, start ENROTH!!!!!!

a .922 sv% isn't good enough only Enroth's .952 is.

I hope he's stellar tonight just because I'm already fucking sick of this fan-made goalie controversy.

this game is not what miller needed. the win, yes. giving up 5 goals, no

a win, regardless of how ugly, is still a win and it feels good. maybe not the ideal box score but from what i heard the defense fucked up a good deal.

A win's a win.

From John Vogl's Twitter: Ryan Miller: "It was nice to make it to the second period this time... I’ll take an ugly one, and hopefully they get a little bit prettier"

heres the facts. 5 goals isnt pretty. but the defense left him out to dry several times. but as the game went on, he got better. 2 goals over the last 2+ periods. he is going to be just fine, and you could see him get more confidence as the game went on. hes turned the corner.

I think it's a little early to say he's turned the corner - his lateral movement seemed slow (not something he's been a monster with ever anyways), but maybe that's because he was a split second behind on positioning. Either way, that's splitting hairs.

Fly - that's a pretty funny comment, and I'm definitely glad to see a good mindset.

Yeah, the defense looked awful. Sekera's giveaway led to a point blank open shot that Miller had little chance on (although he's made saves in those situations before, can't expect them). Gaustad had a giveaway that led to a goal and the d-zone coverage was just bad. The 3rd goal bounced off Myers. The Byfuglien goal was another poor timed line change that left Miller out to dry. The 2nd period PP goal was another case of Miller getting caught too far out of his crease. He did that a lot last season and he had no business straying so far out on a bounce off the end boards that he got beat to the opposite, glove side.

So out of 5 goals I really fault him for only one, but I'd still like him to make one more save out of the great chances the defense allowed.
