I want this. Like x10.

We went after them for nudging Miller. This is the fucking response we need.

I say line match 8/28/36 with Lucic's line all game. Tell those three to make sure he regrets what he did and what he said. Throw Regher out there too. Make sure that fucking neanderthal can't even talk in the post game next time.

Uh, don't get your hopes up :snooty:

Call up Kassian, Foligno and Tropp and play them as a forth line with 8/28/36 as third line. I don't give a fuck if we lose the game, just retaliate in every possible way. be creative.

guys, do we really want to be judged like the islanders were, and make the game into a fuck joke with massive penalty minutes?

It's kind of encouraging to other teams to see the Sabres's lack of response. Lucic's hit on Miller totally worked in Boston's favor.

If the Sabres weren't going to fight the Bruins or run Thomas after that hit, they could have at least showed some life and played some fucking decent hockey after the hit.

The fact that they did absolutely nothing is really concerning.

I still think Goose would kill Lucic, because he's around the same size and everyone he's fought this year he's bloodied. I think everyone?

I disagree I don't think their is anyone on Buffalo that would give Lucic a good fight. I would have been happy if Gaustad would have went in their and gave him a few punches even if it was a cheap shot fuck Lucic the whole point is Buffalo didn't do anything after Miller was blasted and the rest of the game they didn't do anything physically or on the scoreboard. I know it's still early on this season but watching this team so far every game they are not a cup contending team at all. They lack a big name center that they still need because Leino isn't it. Darcy has overpaid way too many players on this team and it's gonna hurt this club for years to come. Leino is way overpaid and doesn't look like he's ever going to be that good investment. Bad thing is you couldn't trade him because he's making too much damn money for any other team to want him. This team needs some playmakers that are over 6'0". No more drafting some pussy ass players.

sorry dude, using a weapon is not the same as a late hit. you don't get to use a weapon in a fist fight. to say that hitting someone with a 5lb weapon with accelerating force and concentrated pressure is the same as a full body hit is mind boggling to me. you don't get back at someone for a sucker punch with a staff. that's disgusting and dishonorable that you suggest it's okay.

You know a goalie hockey stick only weighs about, 750 grams or Only 1.6 pounds, nowhere near 5 pounds.

And it would have hit him in the shins, and where it would have hit is padded. Lucic wouldn't of felt a thing. And in this situation, the momentum of Lucic hitting Miller is far greater than the momentum of a stick swinging towards a player.

i swear that there is no one on this board who's played a physical sport at a competitive level. the physics alone of swinging a stick at someone would hurt. okay, you caught me exaggerating, you brilliant man, you. 1.5 pounds swung like that can break bones, and with all the pressure from the swing hitting at a point about a half an inch wide, there's a good chance he would have busted his shins.

hockey pucks only weigh 6 ounces (less than 1/3 the weight of the average stick) and they break through pads and hurt players...

ps, momentum is mass times velocity, so of course the momentum of two people colliding is bigger than a stick hitting him.

Pat has a really good point and I can relate to it first hand..

Last week I was fore checking hard and the guy I was going after seen me coming at the last second and tried to dump it off to the other corner. His follow-through alone had enough momentum that when it came across my shins it dropped me to my knees, and I was wearing shin pads.

Miller had enough whip on his stick that if he was swinging it in an upright motion around his head, it could have been dangerous. Trust me, I want to see that sloppy moose twatt Lucic gets his and will enjoy it with as much bliss as humanly possible when it happens. But the use of anything other than fists makes the person going after him just as guilty, if not more of committing douchebaggery.

That having been said, motherfuck Lucic and I hope Miller will be able to bounce back from this.

There's a very good reason some players wear slash protectors on their ankles and wrists.

I think that's all that needs to be said.

exactly. We all know that the Sabres were not built to be physical so retaliation would be limited. The only way to "get them back" was beat them in scoring. Sadly they just gave up and let Boston just run the scoreboard too. Just amazingly bad.

Doesn't appear #NHL will look further into #Bruins Lucic #Sabres Miller collision. Miller remain out with stiff neck/ possible concussion.

So Lucic won't be suspended or anything not even a slap on the wrist?

Bob Mckenzie tweeted that Lucic has a hearing scheduled for 1pm reference hit on Miller

Their heads weren't in that game at all, you could tell by all the giveaways. But yeah, who do we have that could take Lucic? Even if someone went after him, whats the point of giving Boston even MORE momentum by losing a fight?

I think Lucic will get suspended. So far Shanahan has been pretty hard-nosed when it comes to dirty plays, and Lucic has a track record. And the fact that Miller has a concussion will only add fuel to the fire.

Bottom line is Lucic made unncessary contact with Miller in a dangerous and reckless way, and Miller got a concussion because of it. Should be a suspension.

I hope so...someone earlier brought up a good point that if it were Kaleta, he would've got in trouble

Yes, we don't want it every game, but I'd want 2 lines to go after them every single shift. I don't care.
If you don't show any reaction what's next? They take a cheap shot on Vanek and we stand there and watch? Can't happen.
You gotta do something. If you can't fight, hit everything you find and go after their goalie and best players.

BTW, I hate how Lindy's "Take the PP"-approach turned this team into a soft and heartless bunch of pussies. No way we'll ever win a playoff series against a tough team.
Soccer players would have shown a better reaction than we did.
