It's true. I'm so embarrassed for them right now.

The end pissed me off.
"Definitely," Lucic said when asked if the response would have been different if Thomas had been hit like that. "We wouldn't accept anything like that. We would have taken care of business, but we're a different team than they are."

"And as the scoreboard showed on Saturday night, not to mention the new Stanley Cup banner flying up in the rafters alongside it, the Bruins are a much better team than the Sabres."

Really, they're a much better team? Who says that. Last year (the year they won the cup) we had the edge on them. Stafford got two hat tricks against them. I don't remember the record but the Sabres were better. And this year, The Bruins are just now climbing out of the basement. That win finally got them over .500 and they beat us once this year.

No. They're better than us. They showed that yesterday.

I'm actually surprised that we went 4-1-1 against Boston last year. I remember the Cooke hit on Savard and there was no retaliation and was glad to see that in the article. So whatever.

Talking about hockey on the internet is scientifically proven to increase testosterone by a factor of 20. To quote Fugazi "you wanna know what it all means?

IT'S NOTHING!!"

I think the way to exact revenge is on the scoreboard. So what troubles me is that Buffalo took their biggest beating of the year there.

Great article, love the beginning.

The two lunkheads on the Hockey Night in Canada panel, both former Boston Bruins, thought it was fine. So surely it was a clean hockey play, right?

Heaven help you if you shape your opinions based on the moronic blathering of these two attention-craving doorknobs, who took time out from their combined 2,313 NHL penalty minutes to score 59 goals.

I know that the Bruins are better than the Sabres. What I'm trying to say is just that it pissed me off it was said. It's just disrespectful is all. Like if we play a shit team and a reporter asks a Sabre, they'd be like "They're farther down in the standings but they play you really hard. They have lots of young fast players and are capable of beating any team on any given night."...or something like that. The article reminds me of the NESN announcers. They piss me off so much. Like in the playoffs a couple years ago when Chara shoved Kaleta head first into the boards and they were all like, "And the puck is down low for Kaleta...here comes Chara to give him a little shove..and Kaleta dives." And then acted like the refs were on crack for calling a penalty.

Lol. Great article. Not that I don't agree with everything that was stated in this article, but I think it's funny that that's the only time we will ever see Buffalo defended by Montreal, is when they're able to bash Boston. Haha. Also I liked how Thomas kind of defended Miller in a way. Team USA buddies :D

They got off to a rocky start. They are playing really good now. Like defending Stanley Cup Champs should. Ya we may have had the edge on them in the regular season but we would have gotten slapped around like we did Saturday if we would have played them in the playoffs.

We have a nice record but if you look closely at the schedule and standings most of our wins have come against lesser opponents. We've beat ducks (27th), columbus (30th), Ottawa x2 (worst GAA in league), winnipeg barely (28th), Calgary (25th), Montreal (24th). That's 7 of 10 wins coming agaisnt bottom 8 of the league. And when we play a good team we shit the bed. Miller usually allows 2 quick ones and then all the energy is drained out of the players and we got no way back.

Darcy's gotta put a shopping list together for at least 1-2 defensive d-men and a forward who can score and be a bruiser when the time comes to do so (Avery would have been an alright pick-up) otherwise this could be a long season.

Last night was ugly and embarrassing. But if the Sabres can get back on track in Montreal and show that they aren't going to take it when other teams run our goalie or takes a cheap shot at any of our other guys, then amends will be made with me at least. History has shown that they'll just keep shying away from any retaliation, but this has gained more media attention from past incidents that I can recall so maybe things will be different.

I hope Miller is healthy by November 23, when the Bruins come to town. That should be an interesting game.

I know, its pretty crazy. But its about time. Something was going to have to give eventually...was anything done to Scott Gomez when he injured Miller? Was anything done to Mike Richards for the countless liberties he'd take on Buffalo?

I don't do it that often but it seemed appropriate. I remember that song (Song#1) used to be like a mantra to me when I was taking anything too seriously. "Life is what you want it to be so don't get tangled up trying to free and don't worry what the other people say". I blasted that song many a time before calling some girl to ask for a date. Good times.
