I would have been happy if Gaustad or somebody went after Lucic but no-one on Buffalo wants to fight Lucic because they would have gotten their ass kicked. Kassian is the only guy that would have given Lucic a fight but no one on the Sabres current roster will except maybe Regher. Too funny the Sabres are the laughing stock of the league right now. Should be interesting to see what Darcy is gonna do to toughen the squad of pansies up.

Kassian isn't as tough as Goose, Regher, or Cody. They have NHL fighting experience. IMHO, Goose and Regher would kill Lucic. Because they're about the same height.

i'm not sure NHL fighting experience matters...the NHL isn't about fighting and most of the players in the league haven't ever played in a fighting league. and being the same height doesn't mean much in a fight. rob ray was a lot shorter than most people and brad may beat the fuck out of everyone. i don't think he have anyone that could bust up lucic. he's tougher than hell.

B&Y Lucic is a literal beast. Goose is bigger but Looch would fill him. Cody is the only one remotely in Lucic's league and he isn't really. Kassian not fighting in the NHL doesn't mean anything. He still has tons of experience and is a tough son of a bitch. Being tough and being strong are completely different. Lucic is strong and tough. So is Kassian. Result, Kassian better be called up for the 23rd(I believe).

I'll be very surpised if Kassian gets brought up. I'm calling it right now, nothing will happen on the 23rd. The league will demand it.

Next time they play Boston I would call up Folingo and Kassian and hit that blockhead every chance they get.

The Buffalo Sabres NHL team has been sent paperwork from the league asking to change their name to the Buffalo Butter Knives after recent events surrounding their star goaltender Ryan Miller and Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic.

In the first period of a game between the two NHL clubs Lucic made a hit on Miller causing Miller to fall over.

The reasoning behind the name change is that the NHL now views the Buffalo team as a weaker, less-hearted team. The NHL feels the response from the Buffalo players was that equivalent to watching water evaporate. In accordance to Rule 1337 in the NHL Handbook, the NHL is just using their ability to lessen team names based on the toughness of their players.

"We here at the NHL felt that 'Sabres' was too strong a weapon for what their team represented and wanted a more representative name in 'Butter Knives'" said commissioner Bettman.

When Sabres coach Lindy Ruff was approached about the change, all he could do was launch some expletives and walk out of the interview. This was noted by the NHL as a good start to getting the 'Sabres' name back, but only time will tell.
