Amidst all the bad stuff that has happened so far this season, this team today finds itself in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference.

If they can get to this position playing poor hockey, what will their limits be when they finally get their identity figured out?

I understand what you are saying but let's take a lot at a few other teams. Boston is still trying to get out of their Stanley slump, and they will. When will Ovie pull his head out of his ass and put up some points, i give this one or two more games. And when will Sidney come back to push the Penguins to the top. I am greatful for where we are but I just hope we click before these teams start roaring.

Who's to say those teams will start roaring?

Just because they were great last year doesn't mean they will be this year.

Silver lining is they dont hold a large lead over us at this point. Tampa will go on a streak. Toronto looks for reals and the NYR are gaining ground.

Washington has been at the top for some time now and I don't see them dropping down in the standings.

Last night, I dreamed that the number two was the most valued number in the world. The vice-president had all the power, athletes fought for silver medals, women were considered the best gender, and stadiums of fans shouted, "we're number two!" As with all my dreams, I'm guessing it was about my fear of immigrants.

Women are already considered the best gender, at least by me, because of their own special power of having two.
