Lindy wanted them to take the situation into their own hands. They failed miserably.

It is the whole parenting and fighting at school scenario and Ruff is your father. He will tell you that he does not want you to fight because you will get in trouble at home and at school. You're exactly right. Ray was interviewing Gerbe during the 2nd intermission and Gerbe told him that they were to let the officials handle it and they were to play hockey or something like that. That's why I was so livid after the game. I completely blame Lindy for the lack of balls showed in that game.
