What the heck do you mean 'one of them people'?

Jammerz likes to think that we all wanted Lindy and Regier gone and that no one supported them through the worst of times just so that he doesn't feel alone.

We've been through this before.

One of those people who thought/thinks about these windows for the coach and GM. Just the way you wrote your response you made it sound like you've been behind Lindy and Darcy every step of the way. Which obviously isn't the case. YOu can argue about it if you wish but I've read many posts from you saying shit bout darcy and lindy. And your not the only one 99.99999999999% of Sabres fans werent backing either at some time or another and I'm also one of them.

But it's a fresh season so let's stop talking about firings and such and just watch how our new look boyz play during the season.

Jammerz, if this is a fact you are going to have to show it, not just state it. Otherwise you are just trying to push Squanto's buttons (and possibly a few others). I hate to say put or shut up, but... (shrug)

I'm starting to think it might be Lindy. I've had the same complaints for the last 3 years - there's no chance that EVERYONE we sign is a pussy.

That's my reason for this threadsurrection. I love Lindy to death and I'm inexplicably proud of him and having him as our head coach, but the one constant through three seasons of lackadaisical play is the coach. I can't fathom a group of players actually being that detached (emotionally) or lazy.

Sadly I agree. I love Lindy but I just can't buy that these guys are actually this lazy. New owner, shit tons of cash, vastly improved facilities and roster, Teppo in as a defenseive coach and two stud goalies......what is there is not be excited or pumped for? I have to think that these guys are getting their attitude from Lindy. I don;t know who I would go after in the coaching pool though.

You all called me crazy. He has NO excuses at this point. I hope our owner had a nice sit down chat with him about the balls he lost that once dangled and bounced between his legs. Then proceed to tell him he has a month to go where's waldo on the sack and if unable to find we will start looking elsewhere.

I can't really blame Lindy, his system works if the guys execute it. The players keep making mistakes they shouldn't even make without a coach.

I don't buy the argument that the players have stopped responding to his coaching. Right now our best players are the ones that are here the longest (Vanek, Pominville, Roy etc...). The new guys like Ehrhoff, Leino, Boyes (he's playing better recently), Gragnani are screwing up.

I can't buy that any more. I think his system worked in 2006, when hooking, holding, tripping, and interference were called to the letter of the law. Now? Not so much. These players are playing the puck and the puck alone - never taking the body. It's easier to give a check than it is to receive one - we spend all game getting hit and only 3 or 4 players on our roster play the body.

We played New Jersey on their second game of a back to back and they looked to have better legs and more jump on us.

Honestly I think it is coming down to preperation. We are constantly starting out slow, especially the first 10-12 minutes. That is a mental and/or prep problem. That can be had by either the players, assistants, or head coach. If the players or assistants are fucking up Lindy would know and would need to make changes, that being his job. No matter what happens someones head will roll if something does not happen soon. This usually ends up being the man overseeing the whole thing.

Ehrhoff Leino and Boyes aren't screwing up. They're playing great. Sekera, Grags, Myers. THEY'RE screwing up. Our D is awful; our offense is fine. It's opposite of last year.

Ehrhoff, Leino and Boyes aren't playing great. They're playing okay at best, barely noticeable.

Ehrhoff, Leino and Boyes aren't playing great. They're playing okay at best, barely noticeable.

Ehrhoff: Almost every night I see him break up a play with a diving poke check. The guy's playing nice D and has I think 7 points.
Boyes: Has 7 points, not bad, and he's been playing really well lately.
Leino: Only one I mentioned not playing very well, but he's been taking a grinder role and is damn good at it.

To blame this team's troubles on Leino, Ehrhoff, and Boyes, is not fair. They're at least trying every night and they're not playing bad.

I have been very vocal lately about my distaste with Lindy. If the players are not playing the system constantly then the coach needs to fix that. If the coach doesn't fix it then the coach needs to go. With Larussa retired, Ruff is now the second longest tenured coach with the same team, in all pro sports.... BUT is the only one NOT to win a championship with that respective team. No other team would have allowed that.

On top of that I was extremely pissed off during the Boston game after the interview with Gerbe. His statement about allowing the officials to handle it sure sounded like it came straight from Lindy. I blame the lack of initial response on the players but Lindy could have done more but didn't.
