Android has more phones, it's easy to see why they have a higher market share. I was just saying Apple "PHONES" as a model have sold the most out of all current phone models in the last quarter, OS and market share have nothing to do with this right now. It's like saying this, a band with one CD is out there compared with 10 other bands. The first band's CD has had the most single CD's sold overall out of the 11 bands, but a combined 10 bands have more CD's that sold compared to the 1 band.

I'm sure the market share did go up for Apple slightly when the 4S came out since it's on all three providers now. And I know plenty of people who abandoned Android and went to the 4S and love it more then any Android phone they owned.

How are the falling behind in the Cell phone game? Their OS is practically perfect without many bugs or issues, they went to Dual core just like the iPad 2 and any other phone out there and upped the camera quality. Added features that work damn well.

The only thing they don't have, is a 4G phone, and still, if you aren't in a big city is worthless to have and pay for, plus it drains the battery down so much since it isn't fully implemented cross country.

i phone 4s is on par with top end android phones of 2009. now that android has quad core phones coming out, better screens (larger, sharper. iphone has a better responding screen. i cant deny that) as well as android having more apps in the app store. (or is it more free apps?)

also, customization is HUGE to people. thats why android has so many fan bois now themselves.

i guess the new ice cream sandwich OS is fucking boss tits. flawless, though not personal.

i think one of my fav reviews of ice cream sandwich was like this. the new iOS5 can send you personalized alerts when you reach a certain place. thats all well and great, but my droid was doing that in 2008? why is this a big deal?

Why in the hell would you need a quad core phone? My computer runs perfect and it's dual core.

Most computers aren't quad core anyways, why does a phone need it? Oh it doesn't.

You can customize everything on iOS, with iOS 5 a lot more things were able to be changed, or you just jailbreak it. You have to pretty much root an Android phone in order to really change everything on it anyways.

Larger screens doesn't mean better, I don't know how anyone could think larger=better in something that runs on a battery, a bigger screen means batter life gets reduced, and Androids already have some of the worst battery life in phones today.
I think the screen on the iPhone is great, the retina display is awesome. Resolution does mean something, but where looking at 4 inch screens, you can't tell the difference to the naked eye between them unlike 55 inch TV's.

iOS had their own way of alerts, it was stupid, I admit, but they changed it because so many people hated getting interrupted. I know android already had that, that was one thing they saw that iOS didn't have and used to their advantage when they released their phones.

You're not gonna change my mind and I'm not gonna change yours, but Android phones aren't the best phones out there. And even if Apple is only at 2009 Android phones, which I don't see at all, 2009 Android phones weren't that good, the OS is what really makes the phone work, and with iOS, you don't NEED quad cores like an Android phone since it just plain works from the box.

you do realize that one of the biggest bombs with the iphone 4s is its poor battery life while running a small screen and 3g, right? of course apple is better at things that have already been done, they have used the extra 2 years to make it better.

and i love the core argument, because you said the same thing months ago when the first dual core phones were coming out. you said "no one needs that, itll just drain battery life!" then the new apple comes out with one, and suddenly, its a great idea. clearly, if so many companies are focusing on quad core phones, the need is there.

the fact remains that the iphone is no longer a trail blazer, coming up with all these new things, so everything that android now does is "not needed and worthless."

depends on what you use it for. more phones are increasingly becoming more social media hubs that involve typing. typing on a 4.7 inch screen is easier than a 3.5 inch screen. also people watch movies on them, youtubes, the whole shebang. they are mini tablets.

its whats you are used to, of course its not that bad. but go to a 4.3 inch, or even one of the new 4.7 inch screen, and its a large difference. sometimes i play around with my zune HD and it has the screen size of an iphone, maybe a tiny but smaller, and its a cluster fuck to type with compared to my droid X screen.

I love my Droid 2. Hard-buttoned keyboard makes typing very easy. It's small enough to fit comfortably in my pocket. And the battery life is pretty good...gets me through an entire day, which is more than many of my friends' phones.

i think youd be surprised. yeah my blackberry was small, but you dont really tell the difference. your leg isnt as familiar as your hands with that kinda stuff (per cross previous statement)

These phones don't run full fledged programs that would require that amount of processing power.

Unless they are decided to include full versions of photoshop or some sort of CAD software, why does anyone need that in a phone?

I'm not going to use my phone to make 3D models where a quad core system would be recommended. Do you need quad core in a phone, or are you one of those people who will just be like, I got it, but I'm never going to use my phone where it will ever need all four cores.
