Ovechkin does like none of those.

The best part of all of that is that he does all of those things very well.

Crosby is the best, most complete player in the NHL. I'm just sick of being reminded of this every time he plays in a game, during every commercial break, stoppage in play or intermission during a nationally televised game.

I don't mind highlights during "around the NHL", but the continual comparisons and mentioning of him during play or during a period at all is what is so annoying.

It may come as a big surprise, but since he has been out with this concussion I've wanted to see the guy come back as quickly and healthy as possible. Make no mistake, I still hate even the mention of his name, but the game needs its best players to be playing. Even he was becoming irritated with how much the media was lingering around coming on the end of his ramp up time but it still didn't force them to shy away and give the kid some space. I couldn’t imagine living every day with a microphone shoved in my face and someone constantly asking how I was feeling.

It is this which has made me come to the conclusion that I don't hate the player, I hate every fricking media source that continuously flashes clips, pics and stories about what the guy ate for supper, how long it takes him to have a good dump and how long it has taken him to grow a rat-stache.

That having been said, welcome back, Sid.

Yes. You might as well just come around. Unless he gets another concussion or another injury that curbs his career, it's never going away.

I'll never come around. Having Crosby constantly shoved down my throat and always knowing he'll be that little brat he showed he can be 2 years ago isn't appealing for me.

Then don't listen to it. Once I hear it I just ignore it, not that hard to do.

How do you ignore it when it's all they talk about for three hours outside of muting the TV?

It's easy I don't watch or listen to media drone on about it. I do have a life other than listening to the same stuff over and over again.

Sometimes I like to watch hockey games. Outside of the Sabres games, I only get games televised on Versus and NBC. Sometimes I like to check the headlines on NHL.com and TSN.ca to see the scores of the games from the previous nights, any big injures, trades, etc. I get bombarded by Crosby coverage whenever I do any of these things.

Yeah, its so annoying. It makes me hate Crosby more, and then you see videos like this and you just can't see why the media has such a hard on for him

A young hockey player complaining about a penalty that probably should have been called? Why I never!

He's 24. He's still young, and the amazing part is that he'll probably still improve, both in attitude and in talent. Holy crap.
