My heart tells me we call up the bruising defenseman in McNabb. We already have enough "puck-movers". My gut, unfortunately, is telling me it's Schiestel.

Is it possible for them to call up Joe Finley or would they have to sign him to an NHL contract?

Looks like it's gonna be a hell of a season the way these injuries keep piling up...

Out of the playoff picture as of today

Yes sir, super cereal. I did some reading and found out on WGR that they would have to purchase his contract.

Finley's a former first-round pick who has never become the force he was expected to be, largely due to injuries. However, this year for Rochester, he's been the most consistent physical player by far. He isn't quick, but he's 6-foot-8 and is smart with the puck. Still, the Sabres having to sign him to an NHL deal will likely deter them from bringing Finley to Buffalo. It may depend on how long Regehr is out."

Send that skating coach down to Rochester and make Finley faster. Who can argue with 6'8" and 240+ pounds?

I'll be happy with whoever they call up in regards to Schiestel or McNabb

Wouldn't mind getting him under contract but at the bare minimum so we can actually call him up....

It's officially official that McNabb will be in the line up tonight. As for the other call up, I guess it's a wait and see.
