Leino is trying and hard. Yeah he fucked up that fancy deke shit but he takes shots, tries to make plays and skates hard the whole game. I can't say that for most of our 1st line....

The guy had 3-4 passes that should have resulted in assists. You can't expect a guy to move into town and make friends right away. I admit his leash is getting shorter but he's a solid player and is getting better as of late.

I agree. His effort has been there but KEEP IT SIMPLE DAMN IT. He should just drive the net and shoot, nothing fancier than that.

Exactly. If anyone is giving two shits about their singular performance on the ice its this guy. He is checking well, playing solid defense, creating chances, and putting pucks on net.

To be fair, they played against the Sabres.

My biggest concern right now is their finishing. They're getting chances, but besides Vanek and Pominville, nobody his putting it in the net right now. Stafford is the champion of spoiling scoring chances, Leino, Roy and Boyes are not far behind.

Unfortunately, right now our no1 center is Hecht, a guy that is coming back from months of suffering a concussion. Strangely, Hecht is having succes. Maybe because he is playing a simple and hard working game. Something that very few Sabres forwards do.

Leino's a good player. He needs to be on a line similar to that of Briere and Giroux to preform obviously we won't get anything close to what those guys are but we definately need a scorer... All we really have is Vanek and Poms other than that we pretty much suck, and some of you will mention Roy the only way he's shown up on scoresheet this season is when he's played with a hot Vanek/Poms line....

Darcy's gotta get something going here or we will be on the outside lookin in come April.
