And Stafford just signed a new contract. We're not trading him.

How appealing is that to a potential tradee?

Get a decent return for two players and ship the third for draft picks to fill the AHL back up.

So getting a decent player or draft pick for two of our core players will make our season better? Or is it better to wait for the trade deadline for better deals?

Our season could be shot to shit by then

Our season is shot to shit regardless. Trading two of our core players for another player won't put us in a much better position than we are in now.

Insert Kassian for Stafford. Insert center brought in by trade for Roy. What is the problem here?

If he's underachieving teams wont want him for his contract duration

I think Roy, Stafford and Grags and possibly a couple others in Rochester could give you a decent return back. I don't expect major changes but Roy and Stafford are players that have some talent but seem unmotivated to bring it every shift/every night. Sorry but your not going to go far with two bums like this on your team.
I would rather them trade a few of the core players and change the chemistry of this team because as of right now this isn't working and hasn't been since Briere and Drury left.

So we're left with the same situation, just without Roy and Stafford, for a player that's probably not much better than Roy...

Honestly, the trades you're thinking of won't make our team win more.

If we're total shit now, how is one player going to make our season a success from shit?

I would rather have any player that can produce like Roy and bring a solid effort night in and night out. Face it Blue and Yellow Roy and Stafford are bums. Stafford has his best year during his contract year! Gee how fitting for this clown. I know the guy can put the puck in the net the problem with him and Roy are there work ethic. I would rather have someone who is less talented but at least shows up nightly.

There is something to be said for team chemistry; or lack thereof.

It seems to lack here. A change of scenery would help all involved. Too many players have gotten too comfortable here. In fact the same holds true of the organization.

Doesn't have to be multiple players. It just has to shake things up; and let everyone know the current (last five years) direction, and commitment is unacceptable.

I mean, you're not going to get Ovechkin, Stamkos, or Datsyuk type players. Those are the only ones that would even have a hope of turning this team around, and we still would have trouble getting through the playoffs.

We have players coming back from injury plus the added sensational play of young players. This makes twats like Roy and Stafford expendable.

I'm not saying I like Roy and Stafford. I'm just saying, trading those two away wont get anything substantially better in return especially at this point in the season.

Stamkos or Datsyuk. Get Ovie out of there.

Okay. Say our injured players come back, we don't have Stafford and Roy, and we have a new center. A rookie takes Stafford's spot, and Kassian is up here.

I don't see our team with many improvements other than the injured players coming back, and even they didn't play so well.

Alright, if you wouldn't take Ovie from Stafford and Roy, you're clinically insane. He's still one of the best in the NHL.

I think whatever trade this team will make will be for the longterm but it has to be a piece to a larger puzzle. No-one is saying that trading these two or more will make us a cup contender this year but this team isn't going anywhere as of right now and seem to be playing uninispired hockey nightly. I know we won't get a player of Ovi's, Stamkos or Datsyuk type but like I said before I would much rather have a hard working player that is almost equal to Roy or Stafford than those two lazy fucks.

I guess this would be an important part of the debate, which player (center) would you like to see here?

ALSO, excuse me if I may be a bit of an asshole. I've recently had a sickness that could be pneumonia, and I'm not in the best mood
