You're a fool to believe otherwise. The government (elected officials) do not want him to gain momentum, so the news stations don't do it. He's bad news for every corrupt individual in Washington.

He's had more media expose through debates this year than 97% of presidential candidates could ever dream of in their entire lives. In fact, he was probably the 2nd or 3rd most well-known name in the field coming in because he's somewhat of a media darling. Also HE IS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL.

If by 'media darling' you mean he is their favorite person to barely cover, or even invent slanderous 'stories' about, then I agree.

I dont like the dude personally, I like some of his viewpoints and abhorr others, but there is no way on this green earth he could ever be considered the medias 'darling'.

It has actually been a joke on the left that he's purposefully not covered by the right's media. When he has been high in the polls they literally skip his name when talking about GOP candidates. They say things like "Romnie in first, Huntsman in third and Santorum in fourth." Just google or youtube "Ron Paul ignored" and you'll get a better picture of his media status.

Yeah and it's worse than that if I understand correctly, even if a person in WNY with TWC *paid* for center ice, the MSG feeds would still be blacked out for the normal reasons.

effed up.

/...and I understand we're an "enthusiastic" bunch in Buffalo but TWC is pissing off Rangers, Nicks fans etc.
//Well they could watch it on Adelphia....DOH!!!

Correct - outside of the local area, Center Ice provides the MSG feed through "In-Demand." But Center Ice blacks out all local broadcasts, which are provided instead directly through the cable/satellite company on a separate channel. In Tampa, I get all Sabres games via Center Ice with MSG feed, but all Lightning games are directly on the Sun Sports station.

The down-side of Center Ice is that only 1 game (at least on Fios in Tampa) per day is broadcast in HD (usually Bruins, Caps, Penguins), all the rest are terrible (worse than average) quality standard def. I never get MSG-fed Sabres games in HD with Center Ice, even though MSG broadcasts Sabres games in HD. That's what really irritates me. I'm questioning if Center Ice is worth the money, given the lack of HD broadcasts.

Game Center Live is a much better product if you have a good enough computer.

You're talking to someone who voted for Nader for president 3 times. Compared to the exposure Nader got, Ron Paul is Kim Kardashian.

It's not Center Ice who isn't giving you the HD feeds, it's the cable company. The reason I switched from shitty TWC to Direct tv is because Direct tv usually has both teams HD and SD feed for all games. Why the fuck should I have given TWC the same amount of cash for Center Ice when they were only giving me 1/10th the product Direct tv was. I watch just about any game any night with either teams announcers in HD now. Direct tv is in SO MANY WAYS superior to cable. It's like they can't shake the trailer park mentality they have. I think it's why they are giving away so much in promotions right now, because once you switch, you'll NEVER go back to cable. NEVER!

MSG is holding TWC hostage until they pay them what it's worth.

This thread used to be about MSG, but then it took an arrow in the knee.

It's either 2015 or 2016. It doesn't matter though, because all carriage agreements are bloody. Don't your remember TWC dropping NFLN?? I don't blame either company for their business decisions, although I don't like TWC at all. Heck, you better be careful what you wish for. What if the Sabres ask too much then, and no one picks them up????? Business is business.

I think you'll be much happier. Now we have to pray Direct tv doesn't drop them when their contract is up.

Then they'd ask for less, if they're at all competent.

That's a lousy business philosophy. You'd get low-balled on every negotiation with that strategy. A good businessman KNOWS what his product is worth. If they aren't willing to be in the ballpark of what your product is worth, then you walk away.
