Having AHL players up and a lot on IR is no excuse to play like pretty princesses.

It's not so much how many we are losing that upsets me. But the manner in which we lose. Roy may as well come in riding a my little pony.

LIndy Ruff is signed for 7 years, I hope you enjoy his system.

I love his system, the Sabres are always out numbered, 2 guys up ice trying to score against 5 defenders and a goalie while the other guys change. Shit system. They get a 2 on 1 and instead of other guys following up on the play they make a line change, like in Boston series with 17 seconds left in a game down a goal Lindy makes a line change and game was over. Great coaching, even the NHL network laughed about that line change.

I heard that in the Toronto feed of the game.

On his wikipedia it said April 29th he agreed to a multiple year contract. Is it really 7 years? I can't find anything saying 7 years. Or even how many years it is, only "multiple" year contract.

If Terry gave him a 7 year contract god help this team!!!! Don't get me wrong I like Lindy I really do but it's so obvious to see that the players don't like this system or aren't capable of playing this system. I just don't understand if it's not working for him why doesn't he and his assistant coaches make changes to it to adopt to his players. Right now I'm not impressed with Hockey heaven at all. Don't get me wrong I'm a diehard fan but this shit is getting sickening already.

Maybe not seven years, but at least three. Who cares though? Either way, by the time Ruff's contract is up I'll probably be fed up with watching the team.

Lindy is too stubborn to admit his "system" hasn't worked well in years; and too burned out and/or incapable of devising a better style of play.

His players look to have lost any heart they may have had.

It's a hell of a lot easier to have your team play hard when you have a Micheal Peca or a Chris Drury to lead, and set the bar. It's easier to have a determined squad when you have support players like Briere, Grier, May, Ray, Boughner, McKee, Dumont, around.

The three stooges let too much of this leave after the 2006 Semi Finals. Even Drury and Briere couldn't push this team hard enough in the 2007 playoffs. Despite a strong regular season, we looked sluggish in the playoffs.

Since the departure of "The Two" in July 2007, we've never recovered. The two stooges (as Quinn is gone) have never been able to do anything to right the ship. Players that come in perform at a lower level than expected. Our own draft choices show signs of life; then fizzle, fade, or become complacent. We reward mediocrity based on expectation.

And yet we expect things to improve. Pegula had a chance to start with a clean slate; remove the last debris from the Quinn era. He acted like a little school girl, and fawned over a flawed program. Let's hope that his experience with reality snaps him out of the school girl mode - and into a responsible ownership mode sooner than later.

Lindy is the most stubborn of any coach I've come across following hockey. I think we can expect better hockey from here on in. It's always better when he's forced to release the iron grip, because he's out of options. This teams ability to come back when down is a sure indicator, imo. To me, he's 'the great Santini', and he insists all the players are always in the palm of his hand. At this point, he has no options, but to let them go out and play their games.
