This is a new server...It's much better than the last server and shouldn't crash nearly as much.

PLEASE let me know if you have any technical issues either in this thread or via PM.

Was the old one slow?
*shrug* seems about the same to me. The old machine wasn't particularly taxed, resource wise.

Tea party controls the House, no one is getting taxed.

I've been restarting the web server quite often this morning as I work on other things...that's probably what's causing that.

It's the same for me. When I close Sabresjunkie and open it again I'm logged off although I checked the "log me in automatically button".
Everything else works fine for me.

ok...that one I don't see.

The session issue is baffling me, but it only happens when I navigate away from the forum or close my tab/browser...I've never been logged out with the window remaining open.
The database checks out and I've tweaked the cookies but everything there looks kosher.

I'll keep looking.

From what I can tell (and someone correct me if you folks see something contrary):

Logging in and maintaining a session while remaining in the SJ forum is working.
Navigating a browser session (tab) away from SJ causes the user to be logged out whether the session should be persistent or not.
Closing a browser session (tab) causes the user to be logged out whether the session should be persistent or not.

As a preventative measure can everyone please click on the "Delete all board cookies" link on the forum index page.

Alternatively clear your browser cache and cookies manually.
