well, where ever you got that info, its wrong. they havnt lost 40,000 this decade total.

I think they have.

I looked it up, because I was curious to see the actual number. If the suburbs are booming, that population loss is all the city of Detroit, and that's obviously not taking into account the last few years. Still shrinking at a much faster rate than Buffalo, which is what I was saying.

well, im just saying. the city hasnt lost 40,000 in a decade, and you said every year, which is absurd. not jumping on you, but your information is way off. and its not all from detroit. people are actually moving to several cities in the detroit metro area, and grand rapids from out of area. they are the only two areas in the state that are growing, with the exception of a few areas. and that growth is very minimal.

Hasn't there been an influx of people moving back to the city of Buffalo? I know there's been a lot of housing being developed, but I know that has a lot to do with UB's 2020 Plan.

And I want to see proven documentation from CNN or another reputable source that says Buffalo is the most economically depressed city in the greatest country on the planet. I don’t think they are struggling that badly, and even if they are, a city a million + has more than 72,000 that are feeling totally fine and comfortable.

From my friend.

What are the sources and actual numbers detailing the hard times in Buffalo?

Buffalo sucks, everyone is leaving there, it's the new fad, leave Buffalo.

Note the sarcasm I used, because my last post was so full of sarcasm it is spilling from it.

Well, Buffalo has had various "plans" for 30 years.

Like Yoda says "There is no try. There is do, or do not." ;)

LOL Yeah Buffalo having a "plan" isn't saying much. It's just become a joke over the years.

green energy is huge. the west coast of michigan is being built up with wind farms, which is awesome. grand rapids, where i just moved from, its whole north side of downtown is dedicated to medicine. its called medical mile, and all the buildings are 5 years old, or less, and half the buildings are under construction still. detroit did get some huge cancer research yearly conference, so thats massive for them too. its nice to see these cities finding more updated industries to improve their economic troubles.

im really interested in city planning and such. and ive liked what ive seen of the waterfront project plans.

The best part of the green energy dawn in Buffalo is that a couple of companies want to move into the recently-shut-down GM plants to make the windmills and solar cells. With Buffalo being so central to the NE and Eastern Canada, the companies really want to start getting it on.

Also, I'm assuming you've seen the the photo of the model for CanalSide, yes?

and im still fuckin trying to figure out about buffalos casino! links people, links.

Well, we don't even fucking know about that casino. Right now, the frame is just rusting away, as it has been for a year or more.

Here's a picture of the CanalSide plan:

What you don't see is HSBC Arena, which would be just off the right side of the image.
