Doubt it, he's married.

Time to buy two coffee pots ETC, so if one breaks you got the other one, or buy some Mt Dew or some Energy drinks just in case.

I am...look for me on the broadcast...I'll be 18 rows up from the glass in the corner wearing my vintage white jersey.

Oh shit, ETC. I have a similar school zone story to share with you.

I was on my way to drop my kid off at school in the morning, and the road was covered in bullshit half-foot deep slush. My tires weren't the greatest, so I was taking it easy in the speed department. I get to an intersection and as I'm about to pass under I gas it a little and zip through. I go down a hill and start to slow down under the bridge because that's where the school zone starts...or so I thought.

Turns out the school zone starts in the middle of the fucking hill even though the sign is placed at the bottom. I see the cherries start flashing behind me, and just like your cop, gives me no mercy.

$400 bucks later, I was fuming mad about that sign. It still hasn't moved, and I wonder how many saps get nailed "speeding" in a school zone.

The troubles haven't ended yet, ETC. Because you were going more than 15 mph over the speed limit you are going to get hit with four points on your license, instead of three.

I would definitely recommend one of those traffic schools. The last time I did traffic school I did it on-line. It was a piece of cake. The questions are written for sub-mental morons. The only catch is that it is timed so that it will take four hours (it won't go to the next screen until a certain amount of time goes by). Still, you can tune into a hockey game on WGR, answer some questions (I didn't even read the material and I got all the questions right), and drink some beer.

On the coffee front, you might want to think about switching to small doses of caffeine in the afternoon (a quarter cup every hour for a few hours). That is when your body wants a jolt of energy anyway (think about the British tradition of afternoon tea, or the siesta in Hispanic countries). The body's circadian rhythm releases hormones in the morning, with the onset of sunlight, to wake us up, so mornings are actually our high energy period. Massive amounts of coffee in the morning throws off your biological clock, giving you a quick jolt and then a crash later in the day.

I hope they plead that shiz down for you, ETC. Any self respecting judge will understand coffee withdrawal and offer you a smaller number.

I'm going to definitely get a traffic lawyer for this monster. If a woman can get a million bucks for spilling coffee on herself I should be able to get a few hundred bucks of mercy for being deprived.

Doubt it's worth it. At least in Oregon, the cops ALWAYS show up when you challenge a ticket, they're required to. Even though they say the "burden of proof" rests with the police, that burden of proof is simply just the radar gun and the word of the ticketing officer. They may reduce the ticket if you challenge, which could make it worth your while, but $600 is way too small an amount to hire a lawyer over IMO. You'd end up paying the lawyer a lot more than you would gain from hiring him or her.

In NYS, that would have gotten you a nice fat 8 points on the speed alone, possibly more because it was in a school zone.

Considering they auto-suspend you at 11 here, it could have been a worse morning. :)

If it's anything like NY, the DA will offer you a plea bargain. Plead guilty to a lesser infraction, go to driving school, and pay a lower fine. The fine stays in the local municipality instead of going to the state.

Again, that's NY - at least Erie County...

The title needs to be edited to read "...ends with a Sabres beatdown on the Panthers in front of seven local fans"

OHHHH. Yea, I guess I was being generous. They must have been borrowing the cardboard cutouts from the Devils. And OMG, did you see how many ninjas disguised as seats there were? Damn!

Hahaha.

It was hard to tell though, but my obvious sarcasm was very evident there for sure.

That cop is a compelte douchebag if you ask me. I was in a car with mom and she was pulled over right in front of Fanshawe College in London and she went right threw a red light but the cop gave her a warning :?

All depends if you have other things on your record also, how long the cop has been on the force, and what time of the month it is.

Most new cops would just write you the ticket, but the older they get the more reasonable they might get and lean closer to a warning instead.

Indeed...the change will be made.

Well, it was certainly nice to get a little good news out of the otherwise heinous day. Our seats were at the corner where all the goals were scored...awesome.

Now, I just need to get the beer/jager fog cleared out from inside my head. Oh, and the fish fry before the game plus the jalapeno nachos during have also contributed to make a mess in my system that is working its way out with burning, painful regularity this morning.
