I haven't had a cigarette since January 1, 2005. I never intended for it to be a New Year's resolution, because I'd tried to quit smoking as a resolution before and it didn't work. It just worked because after partying for New Year's, I didn't feel like smoking at all, and I just kept it going.

You might get the occasional urge, but the longer you go without, the easier it is to ignore those urges. Hang in there.

I quit in 88....I still fight against it when I catch a whiff of it.....addicted for life......
