It seems a bit small but that might be an advantage on cell phones.

Is it my PC or is it a bit slower than the old one?

Shouldn't be any slower...one thing you can do with this theme that the old one couldn't is resize it if you think it's too small.

Up at the top under the search box and the "hockey resources" drop-down there's a letter A with arows next to it.
Just click the up arrow to increase the text size. (I did this because it was a little too small for me too).

Thanks.
Is there a way to make the whole thing a bit wider? Probably not, but it looks like it's made for a 5:4 screen.
( I can't even remember whether the old theme had the same width or not :D )

I don't know if we can make suggestions but it would be neat to have the thread title in the "Last Post"-field on the main page.

Any chance you could pick a dynamic theme? This fixed width BS circa 1995 is really ugly :(

I like sub silver. Just changed to it. It feels more like 'home,' and less like a space ship.

Yeah, working on that, so far none of the mods that do it are working.

Pretty sure no such thing exists...remember, the reason we switched at all is because this is current and the old one was ancient.
But like I said before, find one you like better and show it to me...they're out there.

That's one of the default themes and pretty plain...I suppose I could eff with the css and try to put Sabres colors on it.
btw, the one called "mileblue" is the old one.

I'll poke around; subsilver is kind of what I was looking for as far as dynamic presentation.

Is there any way to get the "Board index ‹ Buffalo Sabres Hockey ‹ The Lounge ‹ Forum Games" navigation on the bottom again? I thought it was pretty useful when hopping around.

Now I'm starting to not like this one...
I think at this point I need to take another theme and modify it to fit our needs.
Stay tuned, it'll change again.

Yeah, I liked that too...I'll try to make that happen.

OK, here's the deal folks...
The theme we were running was a cobbled together mess of about 3 different themes all of which stopped being developed on about 4 friggin years ago.
Since the board recently got upgraded, the forum software and the themes became a major revision apart from each other.
I discovered earlier today that making a poll no longer worked and actually blew up in spectacular fashion. There are also lots of other things that weren't working, some noticeable, some not, but I've got a hefty error log.
I was facing 2 options:
1. start hacking away at the old unsupported theme so it can become even *more unsupported and jenky
2. install and start to modify a new theme

I chose #2 because I don't feel like maintaining my own code base for this.
Now I know everyone starts throwing poop whenever a UI change is made, so I was expecting this reaction. Give it a little bit and see if it grows on you. If not (and you probably don't know this) you can change the theme you use in your user control panel...However, if you change your theme to the one I'm not actively maintaining you're on your own.

BTW, thanks. That sounds like a pain in the ass, I (we, i'm sure) appreciate you doing all the magic behind the curtain which keeps this place going. Cheers man.

OK...I took a few hours tonight and started to re-skin one of the default themes to be all Sabres-ish
It's a work in progress, but it should feel more like the old theme but without sucking (from a code perspective...(I'm no artist folks))

I'm already noticing some css anomalies from my test site so please be patient :)

Where did the other theme go? It was very nice looking, and easy on the eyes. I want that one back.

You shut your dirty mouth SATW. This one is much nicer than the fixed width crap. It looked neat, but was hardly useful :D

Well, a little harshly put Mr. Intensity, but I can agree. I find this MUCH easier to read than the last one. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
