This isn't about a moral high ground. How in the world does hitting Thomas help this team's toughness? What are teams gonna think "Oh, we better not fuck with them because 3 mo ths down the road they might try to hurt someone"? That's not gonna acheive jack. All it does is show just how fragile and defenseless the team really is IMO.

You want to stop people from making dirty plays against you? Then start scoring on 50% of your powerplays. I guarantee you that's far more effective. Bottom line as far as being tough is that the damage is done I think.

Scoring PP goals != toughness. I understand your point, and I don't disagree with your "3 months down the road" comment, either. I'm happier now with how the team has been playing than I was in the last 3 months, but I'm not going to lie and say I wouldn't feel some bit of pride if we returned the favor.

OK, again, I don't see how going after anyone except Lucic makes sense for revenge in an eye-for-an-eye state of mind. I understand why you say go after the goalie, but he had nothing to do with it, and that makes it a pussy response in my eyes because it says you're afraid of Lucic. Also I have to admit that I do see some sort of "defending your honor" involved if you're talking about "payback". And as a related comment, I'll say that as a poker player (this is the best competitive analogy I can come up with), if someone makes a rude comment to me, or does or says something that offends me, or gets lucky on me, I know from experience that concentrating on getting back at that person can get in the way of you performing your best. And in the final analysis, if you're tired of someone taking your luch money (points in this case NYIntensity), what you want to do is concentrate on what YOU are doing, not on getting "revenge". The money (points) is the real objective and the only real way to get your revenge: show you're better and win.

I agree stuuuuuu. There is no way to get "revenge" from Boston physically. They are way too strong and will beat the Sabres into submission. The only way to beat them is for Miller to go out there and stop everything that is shot at him. Then the Sabres need to use their speed to run circles around Boston and to get away from the bullies like Chara, Lucic, and Marchant before they put us through the boards.

Only ones that play with pride 80-90% of the time. Haven't been corrupted into thinking that being pushed around is perfectly acceptable. Our young players get me really excited about the future of this organization. Ennis is going to be a stud. I felt that way going into this season. Gerbs is a grinder. McNabb and Kassian are tanks. We brought up Grags wayyyyy to early. I am ok with most of this team in what they are supposed to bring to this team, theoretically. I am not ok with Roy's disease infecting other members of this organization.
