I'd rather not do anything "illegal" to any Boston players. I'd rather check the snot out of them, bounce them off the boards so hard their teeth hurt. And of course, for every hit they put on us return the favor on the same kind of player. Touch our goalie, we plow yours. Flatten Roy, we flatten your vulnerable playmaker.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction...

I don't know if that last line is true. There hasn't been an equal and opposite reaction as of yet. If anyone considers Gaustad getting beat up like a lil school girl by Lucic is sadly mistaken. The only opposite and equal reaction is to to run Thomas... Bruins are bigger meaner and more aggressive than the Sabres that alone gives us pretty lil chance at a good reaction to the Miller hit. I'd look for either Gaustad, Kaleta or McCormick to start something here with Lucic but in the end they'd just get shit canned so I'd just stick to playing a game no need to go out and embarass ourselves in another fight against Lucic.

Hopefully Kassian can build some more muscle and stay on the team full time next season because that's the only guy I see who has a chance of beating up Lucic....

Kassian and McCormick would stand their ground against Lucic but he'd beat both of them. But Goose... That was sad. Way to retaliate a game later by giving him your ass and saying "HEY! Free hole!"

Dammit, i wish they'd stop challenging lucic to a fight. Attention, he will kick all your asses. Find some OTHER way to hurt him.

Lol you're high off your ass if you think Kassian would last any longer than Kaleta.

Lucic is a unique talent, he's essentially the second coming of Cam Neely, nobody on our roster or in our system even compares to what he is. I hate the guy, he's a goon, and a son of a bitch, but he's also an elite tough guy in that league.

I love how Lucic "beat Kaleta's ass". No, he didn't BEAT his ass. He won, but Kaleta put up a fight.

Lucic beat his own ass? Impressive.

Ok that was pretty satisfying, we destroyed them on the scoreboard, and for the most part hung with them physically. All we can really ask for.

lol typo. Although, Lucic vs Lucic would be pretty interesting. I'd assume Lucic cheap shot Lucic... Then Lucic responded by cheap shotting Lucic in response to a cheap shot from Lucic's teammate, Lucic.

Lucic-ception.

As much as I hate him, you're right, man. I'll be the first to say I was wrong (even 2 seasons ago) when I was preaching he was nowhere near the same class as Neely. The guy is a monster that I wouldn't want to meet in a dark ally.

Also, I think Kassian is still sort of riding his reputation from his junior days. I think he'll be a good power forward in time that can bring the bang, but I just don't see him there just yet. Mind you, I wouldn't want to be the guy to tell him he can't fight, to his face. I ain't pretty by any means, but I like my face where it is now

I don't really like the comparison to Neely. Lucic is tougher, but Cam was an elite offensive talent, which Lucic is not. It's like comparing a 1st and 2nd liner. I don't even imagine a coach nowadays would even let Neely drop them. He would occasionally, but he would certainly never fill the enforcer role like Lucic does.

We also have no idea what kind of fighter BZK will be. Often enforcers find their 'game' just like skaters do.

He also does train with a boxing trainer, like Donald Brashear did so it's would be almost impossible to truly go toe to toe against Lucic.

I agree stuuuuuu. There is no way to get "revenge" from Boston physically. They are way too strong and will beat the Sabres into submission. The only way to beat them is for Miller to go out there and stop everything that is shot at him. Then the Sabres need to use their speed to run circles around Boston and to get away from the bullies like Chara, Lucic, and Marchant before they put us through the boards.

They finally took my advice for once! Miller's ultimate "FUCK YOU BITCHES."

I'm fairly sure that Kaleta went in there to fight Lucic with full intent on losing. Afterwards he did his hand raising thing and the audience ate it up. THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN!!!!

Definitely and it really pissed of Lucic. Did you see right after Kaleta did that they cut to Lucic and he was standing up throwing his arms around. The sabres actually got under the skin of these bullies.... niiiiiiiiiice

Kassian is young guys. To think that he wont get bigger is just dumb. Get the kid to hit the weights and put on some solid muscle and he will rock mofo's. We got some beef coming up through the ranks. Certainly will be a nice change of pace from the little shits that everyone said would not make a difference in this organization(Ennis, Gerbe). Ennis and Gerbe are great players, and are gritty, but they do not impose their wills on the oppositions physically. They are pests. If we mix some hauses in with the pests we will agitate a lot of teams and get them to play to a different style of play, i.e. Boston. McNabb, Kassian, and Foligno(eventually) Mix those guys in with the likes of Cody, Kaleta, Goose and we have a solid group of guys not afraid to throw their shit around on a nightly basis.
