I've been a fan of this guy for 10 years now, he was the first player I got to watch come through juniors in Portland and follow through Rochester to the Sabres. He has already had a far better career than I'd ever thought he'd have, mainly because of his effort. He's a good, hard-working guy and I'd like to thank him for what he did for the Sabres and wish him well in the future.

Bye Goose, I hope you resign for 2.5 mil in the summer, then we would have stolen a first round pick.

Though they always say he's from Dakota, he actually grew up in Beaverton, a Portland suburb. As far as I know, he's the closest thing to a Portland-trained NHLer there's ever been.

Hopefully Nashville will give Honks to the Goose.

Nashville's looking good. Good luck Goose and I hope you resign for less than $2.5 in the summer.

Hey, maybe we should have a 'Thanks and GL' thread for Grags!?!?

Happy trails Goose...the one player on the team my daughter cheered for.
Too bad She's going to the game on Wednesday with me and won't be pleased with the day's developments.

Yeah, I'm hoping that Goose re-signs with us in the off season. Perhaps that was what the long, closed-door talks with Darcy were about. He's a good, hard working guy. I'll be rooting for him in Nashville!

Shitty deal bro. Tell her to start cheering for Hodgson now center for center haha.

If he resigns for a decent contract in July this move looks fucking genius. First pick for a fourth. I like it.

Regier made the comment today about this day is going to look very good in the future. We can all read into stuff and maybe it means nothing, but that could mean Gaustad will re-sign with Buffalo in July. If so I'd hope it's no more than for 3 mil per season, but that would look good having Roy, Hodgson, Adam/Gaustad as 3/4, and potentially a top C from the draft.

No Ennis?!
Ennis has looking very strong centering his linemates.

Roy, Ennis, Hodge, Goose. Keep Adams down or trade Roy. If Roy does not turn himself around quick he could see his way out of here next season for used toilet paper coming back to us. Is it worth it to keep these kids down while Roy pisses away his talent?
Late next year
Hodge, Ennis, Goose, Adams. Hopefully a center or two we are bringing up through the minors. Goose mentoring the youngin's next offseason(hopefully) can only be a good thing. Certainly better Goose, then Roy.

Build by drafting...I like this move, a lot.

Maybe his value will go down...the Sabres do have a history of players not doing as well away from Buffalo
