I know Ruff will shuffle everyone all around, but specifically where should Hodgson play to start off? I think he probably needs to be in a 3rd line role during his learning curve, then see how he handles it and go from there. He'll certainly have a shot at anywhere from a 1st to 3rd line role to start next season. So for now I'd like to see...

Vanek-Roy-Pominville
Leino-Ennis-Stafford
Gerbe-Hodgson-Boyes
Ellis-McCormick-Kaleta...or put Tropp in at wing for Ellis or McCormick

I don't think Lindy will demote Roy right away.

Leino-Roy-Pominville
Vanek-Hodgson-Stafford
Gerbe-Ennis-Boyes
Ellis-McCormick-Kaleta

Sucks we have to wait till tomorrow night to see what happens, 10pm game too. UGH, coffee instead of beer

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

Ha, tell me about it. I live in England, so the game won't start here until 3am. Chances are I'll be up that late writing a paper anyway though, so I may actually watch the first period or something.

I've only stayed up for one game while on my visit to the UK. I remeber getting up for an early bus and some western games were just getting underway.

Especially after he said his relationship with Roy is like father/son last week. But who knows.

You don't think he'll demote Roy but he will demote Vanek? Vanek is the best offensive player we have and it's not even close. TV makes everyone around him better--look at the year Pommers is having and what Adam was able to do when he played with him. Vanek is the anchor for the top line.

Vanek - Roy - Pommers
Leino - Hodgson - Stafford
Gerbe - Ennis - Kaleta
Ellis - Adam - Boyes

And I think it's only a matter of time until Foligno is up here and Boyes is in the presser.

I see this upcoming road trip as the trip that puts any hope of Buffalo making the playoffs to rest. Anaheim has been the hottest team in the league and they need pts badly if they are to complete their push. Just wondering why Boyes wasn't moved unless they plan on re-signing him to way less money. I'm sure Brad knows he hasn't been worth the money he is being paid and will work hard in the summer to get back to his old ways.

They said because Cody M. wouldn't be back for a while, they decided to keep Boyes(I guess seeing they're both completely inept at hockey they are similar enough). Great idea. Throw another million at him to suck royal. I wasn't big on them keeping him, or the Grags trade. They should have gotten a pick for MAG, and called up Brayden when necessary. Mcnabb is better than Seltzer has ever been.

Back on track:(and btw this isn't what I like, but what I think is the best baldy will do)

Vanek-Roy-Pominville
Ennis-Hodgson-Stafford
Gerbe-Leino-Kaleta
Ellis-Adam-Boyes

Some of you may want to edit. McCormick is injured.

You may want to edit yours too since Adam has been in Rochester for weeks now. Plus you may be the big winner since Vogl is tweeting that Lindy plans on putting Hodgson with Ennis and Stafford

That's what planes, trains, and automobiles are for. I'd be willing to bet it's easier to call a guy up than it is to play him injured.

Also, I wouldn't call it a big win predicting what the ever predictable Lindy Ruff is going to do. I'd have put him front and center with Pommers and Vanek. It's strange that Luke Adam got a shot up there, but Hodgson won't. He probably doesn't want to dis or embarrass his adopted son, Derek Roy.

Please, please Lindy, do not put Vanek and Roy on the same line. Vanek has to spend more time covering up for Derek "The puck Cougher-Upper" Roy than he can spend actually playing forward. I get so tired of Roy always seeming to have to carry the puck, especially when Vanek is really good at it. I mean remember when Roy got hurt last year and we saw Vanek truck around the ice with the biscuit?

Not only does Derek Roy NOT make the players around him better, he sucks the life out of them like an effete Tom Cruise Vampire...at least since the time he's been more than a 3rd line guy.

Seriously, if Roy could play 3rd line center or on the wing when we had other better centers on this roster, why can't he be shifted to the 3rd line now when he's been awful most of the year. Seems to make sense to me.

But as per the usual Lindy Two-step...it'll be Vanek's fault.

I would try Ellis between Vanek and Pominville line before I'd put Roy centering that line. I'd put Leino there before Roy. The only way I'd play Roy and Vanek on the same line is to put Roy out on the other wing.

The one line you do NOT change is EHS - they work great together. I'd leave lines exactly as they are, honestly.
