James Mirtle has created a breakdown of NHL teams by age, height, and weight. Sabres are 28th in height, 22nd in age and....drum roll please, 30TH IN WEIGHT!!!!

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

It's not the size, but what you do with it that matters. Ask James Mirtle's wife.

As funny as this was, this is slightly alarming.

I had to pick someone. I thought of saying my own wife at first, but then decided it was more important to leave the door open that I was hung like a horse than it was to imply I'm good in bed. Strange world we live in.

When I look at other teams, I get player envy.

This is Darcy/Lindy's plan. The smallest team in the league, they're oh so close.

And it's a damn good plan, too. This is how we will beat the Bruins. We will skate between their legs.

We weren't huge to begin with and we shrunk yesterday. It's true. But the vast majority of people (and not just here) seem to think we did very well. As many people have said here recently, it's way easier to fix size problems than it is to fix skill problems.
So, considering the assets we got yesterday, shrinking a bit more was a "small" price to pay (pun intended!).

Good pun... I seriously don't see Darcy going to try for anything bigger but I didn't think he would anything yesterday. He proved me wrong, touche Darcy

This. I'm calling bullshit on the whole thing, because it presupposes that weight=toughness. Detroit is exactly a 1/2 a lb. per player lighter than Boston, but if they ever got mad at each other DET would be running for the aisles like little bitches. What's even funnier, if they played each other right now, I'd guess Detroit would smoke them.

Apples and oranges anyone???

Washington and L.A. head up the list. How's that working out for them? Washington, seriously???????????? Mike Knuble was a healthy scratch the other night. I wonder if that was figured into the equation, or maybe if we call up Joe Finley does that put us right in the middle?

Just another guy with too much time on his hands.

I wanna ask you guys something.

Name me a guy who is a big guy and has the skill of a guy like Lemieux. Now name me guys who have skill and are about the size of Crosby.

Really the only one I can even think of who has the amount of Skill like Crosby yet is as big as Kassian is Ovechkin. I can name plenty of skilled guys that are smaller yet seem to never get hit and make these big guys look foolish.

These skilled players that win you Stanley Cups, come in smaller sizes.

Datsyuk is 5'10 or something and like 180, yet these big guys wouldn't be able to take the puck away from him and can barely hit the guy.

Weight and height are stupid correlations on how good teams are.

2012-13: Foligno, McNabb, Myers, Adam, Regehr, Weber, and probably a physical free agent or 2. I'm okay with that for size. Vanek, Tropp, and Staff aren't midgets either.
