Who would of thought that right now we would be Tied for eighth and only two points out of Seventh place. If Ottawa keeps loseing we could make the Playoff and so can washington and Ottawa could be out.

Just some Food for Thought

Anyone paying to the B's? They continue on their current pace and they could drop to 8th or out of contention final week. Caps, Sabres, and Sens could all pass them.

i wouldn't count on the B's dropping out. lower, yes. Out? No. We can't win the division.

Catching Boston might have been possible before they won both road games over the weekend out west. Their current pace playing .500 hockey puts them at about 98 points. They were never in really any danger of getting knocked out of the playoffs. Losing the division maybe, but not now.

Boston won't drop out now. We can still catch the Senators though.

It'll be interesting to see how the SE title will go and if we make it or fall just short based on tiebreakers.

That pipe dream about Boston is definitely out of reach, but...

Ottawa plays - at Winnipeg, at Philly, at NY Islanders, vs Carolina, vs Boston, at New Jersey

Washington plays - vs Buffalo, at Boston, vs Montreal, at TB, vs Florida, at NY Rangers

Buffalo plays - at Washington, vs Pitt, at Toronto, vs Toronto, at Philly, at Boston

A rare twist of luck has Pitt coming to Buffalo after playing the previous night, while Buffalo will be on two days rest. A back-to-back with Toronto while they're tanking doesn't hurt either.

I tend to ignore Ottawa as much as possible...nothing personal it's just the city and everything contained within its borders are about as interesting to me as whatever is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Growing up, my mother wouldn't allow me to say the word "Ottawa" inside the house. The "F" word she was fine with, but "Ottawa" got me a bar of soap to chew on....and Lava soap at that.

Realistically, it looks like we can get the #7 seed. But it would be awesome if Boston lost the rest of their games, we win ours, and win the division

That would be nice but we need Boston to help us by beating out the CAPS tonight.

I actually want a Bos/Buf 1st rd match-up. If Buffalo were to get in and win the 1st rd, there would be no more satisfying team to beat than Boston. It would be the ultimate revenge for both team and fans.

And the ultimate confidence boost.

The Bruins have had their numbers and they are pretty much their nemesis (a big physical team).
