I don't really know anything about any of them, but Taylor Swift is going to see a real increase in records and publicity after this. Not saying that she needed it necessarily, but she was real classy. I think the whole thing is pretty comical, but I don't think anyone expected anything less out of the attention whore that is Kanye West. I mean, the dude said the Bible needed to be revised so he could be a character in it. He's not all there upstairs.

It was super lame today at school. I asked people if they watched the VMA's because I wanted to know what they thought of the Michael Jackson tribute, and all I get is "OMG Kanye West is such a jerk blah blah blah!" Okay I know that!

I just *loved* when Leno asked him if his mother would approve of what he said. What in the world.

After adding a bit more perspective, I realized that Kanye West has only said the things that have destroyed his reputation since his mother has died, and I know that they were extremely close. I am not about to pass any more judgment on that man, because that realization made me feel like an idiot as it was.

Not a great move on Leno's part...

A little bit off topic, but I missed Leno's first night. How was it? I've caught some of Kanye's apologies here and there online, and they're weak. This one especially:

“I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert DeNiro asked him to leave…that was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

Reference to an almost decade old movie? Really? The best you could come up with, Kanye?

Leno was OK, but he shouldn't have gone there. Overall, though, yeah, he was pretty classy. Just, that... No.

I just felt bad for Kanye in that moment. It was just, "...Oh," because that is when I made that connection between his behavior and his mother. Thought I would have learned my lesson from being wrong about others in the past, or at least not understanding the entirety of their situations and making judgments based on that lack of understanding, but apparently not.

He still shouldn't have been that rude to Taylor Swift, though. lol. My word. But I have a lot of empathy and sympathy for him now and can understand why he's been the way he's been the past few months.

It was funny, but Jay looked a little uncomforatable in the new setting, which was lazyboy style. Seinfeld was hilarious. The cameras never moved to the band when he was talking to them, making it seem very strange. The rappers were completely out of place on this show, which for me had a very Dick Cavett feel for those of you old enough to remember.

A few glitches, but solid overall.
