Rinaldo and Shelley are hardly seeing ice time, if any. Their big d-men are not goons and only Coburn plays very physical, although Grossman has started to be that way lately. Buffalo has had players like Stafford and even Connolly jump on people when needed. I think size comes in more so in order to withstand a playoff grind, stay on the puck or take people off it, but not necessarily to bully teams around or start shit after whistles. Yes the Flyers have more size, but they're not using it the way most posters here would like to see the Sabres use size.

Richards and Carter are excelling with LA, and went to the finals with Philly a couple of years ago. Pronger's won a cup, and has been on more than one deep playoff run.

Carter is along for the ride so far. Obviously Pronger is a good player, but they are all assholes to some extent. That was my only point in that first paragraph anyway...the Flyers are more likeable now without those guys.

Don't get me wrong; I think he's still a decent player. I just think he's a typical top 4 D man, and really not a superstar anymore. Partially due to his injuries. Just my opinion.

Pronger's nowhere near the d-man he used t0o be. He wouldn't make any team a "stanley cup contender" anymore IMO. He'd definately would make the Sabres a better team but wouldn't mak ethem a contender.

Pronger would help the Flyers to right now. It's a shame he is dealing with knee and head issues. He was ripping it up for the 12 games he played in this year.
