Yup, I hear ya. My whole way of life has always revolved around drinking. Now in my thirties and meeting you know......real adults, getting smashed and acting like an idiot isn't cool anymore. Well....plus no matter what I do I end up with a two day hangover. I'm still feeling like crap. I'm going to drink some wine and find my pillow hahaha.

It's pathetic how people can become so fat, but salads are expensive and burgers are cheap.

24 pounds of pork shoulder rubbed down and wrapped, a metric shit ton of chicken breasts soaking in a buffalo honey mustard marinade, three racks of ribs on deck and enough hamburgers, brats and hot dogs for an army....though this is an Air Force BBQ so....enough food for an Air Force? My cornhole boards and Jenga set are done so I have to get pics uploaded. 40-120 people coming depending on who brings family/kids/hookers. Saturday should be fricking great.

So, my boss "Hypothetically" asked me tonight that if we were to open a site in Bellville, Ontario, if I'd be willing to relocate. Knowing the nut I am for being as close to Buffalo as possible, she recommended me for the position (which is still in the works), but with the Mrs being locked up in EHS for the next 3-4 years in her contract, looks like I'll have to decline said offer. Then I find out that 2 other sites are interested in bringing me on for the workforce analyst dept in the same region. :( Which kind of sucks, because being about 3 hours away from the Buffalo/Rochester area is MUCH better than 19+ hours away.

On that note, I'm getting drunk tonight.

Titty Sprinkles.

How quickly things change... Just found out today that our center is closing in 3 months. So the places/positions I've turned down are once back on the table as possibilities (If, they are still available :/ )

Charlottetown, Belleville, North Bay and possibly Pembroke. Maybe Darthmouth, but I moved away from the Halifax area a few years ago because I was tired of being mugged.

Is 6:23pm in the evening too early to get fucking shitfaced?

Once you've had breakfast, it's an acceptable time to get shitfaced.

Think I might buy a Foligno jersey while they still have 40% off all 40th anniversary clothing, but I don't want to wind up with a number 82 jersey if Foligno isn't going to be wearing it next year.

That's preventing a lot of people from buying the jersey.

I have been thinking about writing and illustrating a children's book. I have tossed around the idea ever since my first son was born. It would be great to be published and all that but with 5,000 books plus a year coming out in the field it's a bit ridiculous to think it would happen for me. My writing has been published in writing annuals and my art work has been shown at galleries....now to put them together. I have my son who's almost 8 on board so when I think of an idea I can bounce it off him and see what a kid thinks. I'm going out later to do my normal writing ritual of buying pads of paper, pens an pencils...oh...and whiskey. A good children's book almost always requires whiskey to make hahaha!

this is a non-story, but for some reason, im really excited it happened. our mens league softball team is horrible. but i must confess, im still glowing over this. im a good ball player. i can catch everything, i have an above average arm (can pitch about 75-77 MPH) and i have alot of smarts playing. im also a soft hitter, hitting for average, but never power. i always have the same, short swing. i swing hard, but i never come close to the wall. line drives. so today, i get a pitch up and in, and i pull it down the line, and somehow, over the wall, JUST inside the foul pole. my first, and probably last home run. it was a really cool moment running the bases. i hadnt felt like that in a while.

As much as I do appreciate that, unfortunately the only two papers I have been writing all day are for my Civil War and Reconstruction History 402 class, and my 20th Century America History 328 class...pretty specified to my major material. I was just a slacker all semester, so paying for it now.

What? Boooooooo!

I don't get cheating in college. Nobody's forcing you, you're paying. So fuck that noise. I had a "friend" once ask me if she could have a paper I wrote for a class in college since we went to different schools, she needed help or whatever. But I told her to get lost. Take pride in your learning, you cheating lowlife ;)

I don't get why all the professors have the same schedules for projects, reports, and presentations. You'd think they'd want you to enjoy your learning and get as much out of it as you can, but they'd rather make sure that your future depended on a 2.5 week session, immediately following a break each semester.

If the college doesn't give enough of a shit for me to enjoy and optimize my learning, why should I conform to their stupid rules and schedules?

Plus, I'd guarantee you wouldn't find someone else who liked learning so much they took 87 credits in 4 semesters.

If you don't go to college you're basically fucked, and even going to college you might still be fucked, so I never would take pride in learning jack shit
