Hey, if it's for the right $$$ I love it. Maybe having another pest with him (Ott) and John Scott to stick up for him once in a while will get him his balls back.

I like it if the price is right and I doubt Darcy would overpay him.

If the price is right, I don't understand how people wouldn't like this. Kaleta is one of the best defensive forwards and penalty killer's in the league.

1.25 isn't bad at all. I like that.

Quality signing at that price.

Feces McGavin (John Vogl) is saying it's 1.275, but it's splitting hairs.

3 years at any price in that neighborhood is solid.

No way is he one of the best. Maybe one of the best on the Sabres last year but no way near one of the best in the league. He's one of the better agitators in the league but that's about it.

So you're telling me that even though he was one of the best on the Sabres last year, that it just means nothing? Sure, that's a good way of looking at it.

He's one of the better defensive forwards. Top 30. But he's one of the best agitators. Top 10. Look at the TSN comments! Everyone hates him.

Seriously...everyone who's not a sabres fan hates his guts to the point of irrationality.
That's worth $1M alone....I'm dreaming of him drawing penalties for the next 3 seasons.

You could be the best on the any team on something and be absolutely nothing on a different team. I dunno if you watched any of last season. I believe we had injury troubles all year last season. Including a few games with 9 STARTERS out. Obviously someone will step up if our usual guys are out. And we were ranked 19th in the league in PK so I dunno why you'd be praising Kaleta like this. He didn't make to great of a difference on the PK. I think most people like the guy because he's from the area. He's a good agitator. But with the recent acquistions of Scott and Ott I think the Sabres really needed to make a play for a scoring forward. I doubt he'd get anything more than 10-15 points. WE got a few young players that are definately ready to make the jump. So I dunno if this was the wisest signing. But I don't hate Kaleta. As always somethings better than nothing. Looks like we've got a pretty agitating team for the rest of the league for next season (Hopefully there is one that is...)

On a different note is Ennis signed yet? What's taking so long?

Scott isn't going to be playing every game I don't think. We need more than just one guy (Ott) to get under people's skins. Ott might help Kaleta feel more confident and get him going, since he's got a new agitator buddy and someone to stick up for him.

That's true. Well we will see how the season goes. Hopefully you're right...

Happy with the terms.

He WAS one of the best agitators in the league but that was in the past. He will never be that way again because the officials are looking to call a penalty on him. It didn't help that he became glass last season and broken every time he looked at the ice.

He did seem to like his time with Peters...unfortunately he took fighting tips from him too.

Glad he didn't take ALL of Peters' tips.
