I'm so stoked for training camp to begin! I went to Puck Drop last year and had tons of fun (it's when I first met Phil, Ariel, and Beth :D). Just wondering how many of you guys are planning on attending? I made sure to book the entire day off, because Robby Takac's Music is Art festival is also that day at the art gallery, so I'm looking forward to that as well.

:(

I work 8 to 4:30 pm on Saturday. So I am thinking I will be missing out on puck drop :'(

I wish I could go though. If by some chance the festivities don't end by 4:30 let me know. I'll bring the liquor, camera, and the midgets. It'll be a party or the reason why you'll have a record that will prevent you from having a job.

I forgot all about it. I was used to it being before a game. This is the "red carpet" thing right?
Can you post the details in here?! Please and thanks :happy-cheerleaderkid:

No, that red carpet thing is held right before the start of the first home preseason game. This is just an event at the arena for training camp. Fans come and watch the team practice and there will probably autographs or something afterwords. It's also during the same time as the Adult Street Hockey Fest.

I'm probably going down, for no other reason than to take a couple laps on the arena ice afterwards. Should be embarrassing, havent had my skates on in probably 8 months.

Love the avatar Squanto. A modest change from your old one.

Sorry! I thought it sucked that the first home game was on a Thursday. I can delete my post if you'd like so we stay on topic (what a concept)

:D

I'll most likely just go to watch the boys skate, I don't really need to participate in the other festivities like the autograph sessions and the live music and whatever else is going on down there. I usually like going down to the arena to watch the players skate during the week, because there's not many fans there and I don't feel like I'm at a rock concert where girls are screaming the player's names to try and get their attention. A little too whacky for me. I know they'll be a bunch of that on Saturday, but it's been so long that I've seen the players skate that I won't care.

I went and had a good time. Put up a few pictures on facebook if any of you want to check it out.

Weber looked good, Gaustad looked jazzed, they held an applause for Grier. Good stuff.

Wait, I heard there was going to be autograph sessions with the alumni. If there was sessions with the current Sabres, I may have a problem. :O
