I'm not as disappointed about this game as most of you guys are.
Our D played a pretty solid game, as you noticed, the only real big mistake on D was Risto's turnover for their second goal. Outside of that, they turned away many rebounds and blocked some good shots. Ehrhoff had the best play with him knocking that easy tap in out. There really wasn't anything too noticeable about them. Hardly any mention from them turning it over.
Miller played a very solid game too, seeing the puck very well. First goal was a tip and second he was screened badly, but a lot of the other shots and scoring chances he saw with ease and stopped them, and thankfully our D, as mentioned above, picked up the rebounds.
And our third line of rookies played the best. And they were rewarded for that goal. A close second was the first line. Can't wait until Foligno comes back to knock Stafford off that line. He is a much more physical presence and will tremendously help Vanek and Hodgson more. Vanek won't need to stay in front of the net as much and can exploit teams with passes more.
Our second line was invisible for most of the game. Some flashes from Ennis, but I don't even know who the LW is on that line. Never heard his name called once. During that game. If it was Ott, then he only played hard in the first five minutes. Outside of that, he was invisible out there.
And the 4th line didn't do anything to hurt us at all. Kaleta hit and that's good.
Kids were the only ones skating their hearts out and creating chances.
