I know the desire is to keep the close-knit community feeling, and not that I'm sick of y'all, but it would be nice if we had a way of getting some new blood in here, i.e. members that weren't on the old boards. I know it increases the workload of the moderators, but some growth would be nice, just a thought.

It's always been okay to go "word of mouth" - You know someone from another community who's a "decent joe"...nothing wrong with inviting them.

It's good to know that good people bring in good people. It's right to expect "new members" to feel that they're not going to let a friend down, or "fuck them over", by acting like a douche.

Is that reasonable?

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. I think we were all a tad hesitant given the fragile peace a message board can have before the newbies start pouring in.
