Wow, so they won a game against the Ducks.

The Ducks took way too many penalties but then again the Refs were so biased to give Toronto a win especially the very little I saw. There was a slashing called, and the guy knocked the puck away only, never slashed him once.

But they finally won one game. And they have 3 points in their first 9 games.

If they would keep this pace up, through the next 73 games, they would finish with a record low (Probably) in points with 27.

So anyone have an predictions of what they will end up at? Is the GIANT really the answer for them?

Who wants in on a bet of wins for them this season. Whoever gets closest gets to be crowned the Best Guesser. We can post here and when the season is over we dig it up and see who got the closest.

I'm going to predict the Leafs will win 26 games this season. Quite a stretch seeing how they won 1 game out of 9, and that would give the team 9 wins over the course of the season.

Alright:
Skyline_BNR34: 26 wins

The Ducks are not playing very well this season, and I've never been sold on J.S. Giguere as a bigtime goalie.

Because he has only had one good season, and thats when the Ducks won Lords Stanleys Cup. Ive never been sold on him either, they should prolly get some new blood in at Goalie...

It didn't hurt that the Leafs had 9 skaters on the ice, for most of the game...I'm sure the Ducks' fans (all 427 of them) are quite livid.

Same thing as what happened to Buffalo, against the Bolts the other night.

Refereeus Selectivitis.

...I hear there's a lot of that going around, these days.

This is good, because they won't be as hard pressed for a win on Friday.

That was exactly my thought process. Not only will they be just a little less motivated to try and beat us on Friday, we'll actually have tape of a 'good' game from them to prepare for.

I'm watching the highlights now.

Did anyone else notice how SLOW the Leafs AND The Ducks are?

Hey PSP, have you noticed both teams were built or contributed to by Brian Burke? ;)

They have been with Hiller, esp in last year's playoffs.

Well at least the Leafs aren't coming to town winless so we don't look stupid handing them their first win of the year.

I'd take Giguere over Hiller right now, Hiller has looked like shit so far this year.

The Leafs are slow but Anaheim is not really that slow. Both teams take a shitload of penalties.

and the best part. if the leafs to end up in dead last in the league, they traded their first round pick...it could be a LaFleur all over again.

Hiller has been terrible this year, and Jiggy has done so much better than him.

But he injured his groin again, so yea.
