I was looking at the stats of the team for the first 8 games we have played thus far.
I'm very happy to find some that are great!

What stats you might ask?

1. Ryan Miller's 1.69 GAA is second in the league trailing by Bryzalgov who has 1.60

2. Miller's Save % is first in the league with 0.940. Second place is Anderson from the Avs who has 0.936.

3. The Sabers have the fewest Goals Allowed in the NHL at 16 (8 games played). Only Phoenix (yeah im surprised too...) is second with 17(9 games played)

4. The powerplay needs work ranking 26/30 teams

5. The PK is better but again, not top 10, ranking 17/30 teams

6. Goals Against per game is 2.00, which is second place, Phoenix is higher with 1.89 goals. Well...i still find this stat funny considering you can't get .89 of a goal. They should round it, but i guess 1.89 is the accurate way of saying 2.00.

Thats all for now.

Well if you multiply 1.89 by 9 you get 17 goals allowed in their games.

No rounding should be allowed.

It's the same as goals scored, they do the average of a game.

Oh lord, the memories!

Also, back on topic...who is leading the NHL in faceoff winning percentage among players with over 100 draws taken? Paul fuckin' Gaustad at 69.2%, including 14 shorthanded wins and only 4 shorthanded losses. TADOW!

What determines a game winning goal?

What determines a game winning goal?

its exactly as it sounds. the goal that won the game.

if you team wins 3-2, whoever scored the 3rd goal gets GWG. if you win 12-2, whoever scored the third goal gets the GWG.

I was joking, I only said that because I remember that thread quite well, not sure if I got involved early on into it, but I know I commented in it.

Ice, you're no fun.

I was looking for that thread, and couldn't find it. I think we locked and hid it, and those went into a forum that no longer exists after the migration.

I did find this gem after some shitface was arguing about the Kotalik/Moore deals.

Billy has a toy truck.

Billy gives it to Suzie. Suzie gives Billy a wooden block.

Billy gives his wooden block to Mary. Mary gives Billy a teddy bear.

Billy effectively traded his toy truck for a teddy bear.

But we didn't trade Kotalik for Moore, we traded him for a second rounder!

After that thread I started offering people a second rounder for random crap.

Back to numbers...

Buffalo has a 21-9 advantage while 5-on-5 so far this season.

The 4th line hasn't been scored on yet.

That was us arguing about trading Campbell essentially for Rivet, and trading Kotalik essentially for Moore.
