Meanwhile, Dominic Hasek's leg strain and a preview of the Caps and Thrashers is more important than the Sabres remaining unbeaten on the road in a big win over the New Jersey Devils.

Order of Priority

1. Highlights of Sid.
2. Photo of Sid doing something with the Cup.
3. Human interest story about Sid visiting a hospital.
4. Highlights of Ovie.
5. Highlights for whatever team did something interesting that night. Make sure the story somehow has a tieback to Sid.

Crosby might have to file a restraining order...

Amazing, but typical. Obviously, marketing/promotion is priority.

So it's not a surprise that we are being ignored. Many hockey fans don't even realize that the season has started, and maybe the Sabres have conditioned everyone not to get excited about their good starts.

I'd rather fly under the radar while playing good, quiet, quality hockey. All I care about is the Sabres continuing to work hard and consistently, as a team, continually improving, and winning convincingly.

Yeah, I also like being under the radar. I like that the caps, rags and pens are all playing well and giving us good competition this season. I don't want to run away with the presidents trophy. That never bodes well.

im shocked people still get up in arms over "lack of exposure"

it is what it is, but the most decorated player in current times getting a hat trick? you knew it was going to be a blood bath of media exposure. and rightfully so, i suppose. the sabres still do pretty well for themselves in the media. ive seen ryan miller on the front page of espns nhl page 3 or 4 times already this season. and once on the main page. and i dont mean just a headline, i mean the main picture. the main story.

I don't care about our exposure. I'd rather go under the radar.

But when you go to the front page, and it's just a lovefest for 1 player... come on.

I think the biggest gripe is not that the Sabres aren't up there, it's that Sid ALWAYS is.

I've said before that I don't have a major problem with Sid the player. I have a problem how the NHL jackhammers him down our throats.

When he scores a hat trick? Put him up there.

When he goes -3 with no points? PUT SOMEONE ELSE UP THERE.

100% correct. Fuck the NHL and their poster boys. If staying out of the headlines in anyway makes teams underestimate us then fucking A right on.

Well Sid sucks, isn't this only his third career hattrick?

Vanek has had more than him, so essentially Vanek is better than Sid.

I saw nothing wrong there. I just saw the past, present, and future. I saw perfection. I saw a beast, an animal with a stick in his hands, and I dare say the penguin is the greatest anything Nature has ever produced. No clue who the douche was wearing the penguin jersey.
