I've never lived in WNY. I visit WGR to check for news every now and then, but I've never taken the time to listen to the stuff.

A lot of the people are idiots... but a lot of it is also really funny.

My favorite one ever was when the one guy called in and sang a song about Derek Roy's diving to the melody of "Londonderry Air."

Oh, Derek Roy, the ice, the ice is calling...

That's all I can remember of it, but it was wonderful. I still randomly sing just that one line and get my friends to give me "wut" looks because they are not exactly from Buffalo.

I've known about the Whiner line, never actually listened to it since the only reason I ever listened to WGR was for the games, but since I've now found out about ustream.tv I no longer only listen to games, I can watch them.

Its pretty funny, I get annoyed with some of the same people though...like the "Jainie's Got a Gun" guy...mad annoying

Today's whiner line was great though!
