Let's see, out of my eight great grand parents

One is Native American
One is a mix of French and German
One is Polish
One is straight up German
Two are Ukrainian
Two are Russian
I think...

So that makes me
1/4 Russian
1/4 Ukrainian
3/16 German
1/8 Polish
1/8 Native American
1/16 French

I also tell people both my parents are German and let them draw the conclusion that I too am part German. The running joke is I'm 80% German and the mailman was 20% Asian.

100% English, as far as I know.

Now my father was a little darker than most English. So there are several possibilities. Among them Spanish, and Jewish. My mother always kidded him he was of African decent based on his love of jazz, and slightly darker skin.

I would guess it's based on Roman blood, as he was from the English Midlands; where The Roman's ended up settling.

As I never asked him; I may research that one day......
