Thurman is questioning why we drafted Maybin if we're not going to play him. He suggests using him as a linebacker to get him on the field, a move that certainly isn't a risk to "cost us any games."

Edwards is far better than Ryan Fitzpatrick and that cannot be denied.

Edwards is not a bad QB, what he needs to do is do what he did last year before his first concussion.

Tell me you weren't impressed with how he handled the ball, and how he threw the ball as soon and his back foot was planted.

If he does that again, the offense will be much better, that is fact.

Yeah, but I'm starting to feel that Edwards is just an upgrade to Fitzpatrick, just largely the same quarterback. Better arm, better accuracy, etc. Same indecision, same unwillingness to throw to space and let the WR make a play on the ball, same check down attitude. Although checking down does get you yards.

He threw it to the space and let the receiver make a catch, and if no one was open, he would scan the field and throw it after that.

Same here. I've seen two games, the opener and the Miami game, have yet to watch any highlights, and have left all my Bills shirts and hats to ferment in the closet. I'll start watching when the team is under new ownership...assuming they remain in Buffalo, of course. Until then, not a penny of my time or money will go to a product that is owned by Ralph Wilson.

The difference: That era lasted barely 3 years. This one is 10 years and counting. The late 60's thru early 70's was also as bad as it gets, including two one win seasons, but nothing compares to this 10 year stretch of futility for enduring suckitude.
