I hear ya Mel...but she reads it every minute of every day for ever......maybe we as a society have been conditioned to not read it all, to shut out what is too disturbing....to try and forget. I dont know..all I know is that this shit is sick and the bastards should be de-nuted or exterminated...do we need these sick fucks in our society? sad.....very sad......

Personally I say let the victim or his/her fam do what they see fit.

Same with the people who watched and did nothing. They are just as guilty for this in my eyes.

First off, I want to say "thank you" to Squanto for looking out for me. It is one of the reasons I like this board and the people on it (Thank you also to CrossCheck for its creation).

This story really resonated with me for obvious reasons, and I couldn't NOT post a response. However, I felt very vulnerable after opening up (I don't know why), so I decided to delete it.

I have reposted it on my private webpage, so if anyone feels they want to read/comment about it, please pm me here and I'll give you the link.

It is my hope that in addition to being a catharsis for me, that I may have touched someone who never spoke of their own experience or that someone you know can glean something from my experience. If I can make a difference in even one person's life to help them through the myriad of emotions and experiences that come with this abhorrent crime, then it has not been in vain. Not that it should've happened in the first place, but I have to believe there is something to be learned from this and shared (it's a Karma thing) with others.
