My aunt is pregnant again. I am so happy. My youngest cousin is currently three, to be four when the baby is born, and I was so afraid that she would be the last baby in the family. I was actually just thinking a couple days ago that I hoped that that particular aunt would have another child, because she's really the only one left that's young enough to. She and my uncle are in their late 30's... Due in April. Perhaps the child shall be born on my birthday. That would be boss. But yay! It's been so long since there was a baby... And since I was about ten I've always been the one that ends up watching the little kids while everybody else talks, and it doesn't bother me at all (I basically hate small talk; either talk about something really serious and/or philosophical, or let me go off and be random and silly. Also I don't fit in with any of my relatives, and they think I am the weirdest person to ever walk the face of the planet)... I was afraid that my last cousin was the end of that. Weeeeee.

Also I found a store near here that sells things with slightly damaged packaging really ridiculously cheap. Crest white strips, for example, are five bucks. I'm excited about that. I got headphones for $2.00 and organic granola for $1.50 today.

Another good friend of mine's mom passed away today :( She was also battling cancer for a pretty long time, but at least they're out of pain. That being said, I'm giving my mom an extra big hug tonight.

I'm glad there is no bills game this weekend, especially after the terrible weekend the sabres had. Thank God we don't have to watch a depressing Bills game. so i say thank God the bye week is this week and we can actually enjoy football, and not be pushed further into a depressed state.

I think I just got weird looks when I said that I've never reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows on this computer.

Seems like everyone around here thinks it's something that should be done routinely. The Geek Squad would try to make you think so, anyway.

People are telling me that it makes the computer run faster and "cleans it up." Here's an ingenious idea: don't let it get bad in the first place.

Get rid of startup programs, don't install random crap, uninstall stuff you don't use, run a registry cleaner, defragment, etc. It doesn't take that much to keep a computer working well...

The weather was perfect today, but the night was just cold enough that my hands about died when I went inside after being outside for several hours. Winter is on its way when my hands go crazy whilst being reheated. lol. They get so weak I can't even grasp anything for a good twenty minutes, and the redness and pins and needles and annoyance. Wasn't cold enough for anybody else's hands to get like that, but I know better. We'll have snow within a few weeks.

I am so tired of being at school. Doing the same things with the same people all the time is getting ooooooold.

Should probably get going on the thirteen papers I have due by the end of the semester.

I am glad that the healthcare bill is having issues in the Senate and probably won't even be brought to the floor. This area will go to absolute crap if it passes. Absolute crap. It will destroy the orthopaedic industry, which is centered here. The gym/auditorium/arena/what-have-you on campus is even called the Orthopaedic Capital Center... Everything will go overseas, and that will be that.

But, yeah. It will destroy the industry because of the additional costs/taxes that would be imposed upon it, and thousands of people around here will lose their jobs, and the economy will DIE. And I know that that is also the case elsewhere, for several industries and a lot of businesses.

/politics, sort of... if you want to label that politics... People here have been terrified of it for a long time.

that health care plan does nothing to inspire people to work as it is currently presented. those who work are just going to be paying for the health care of those who choose to live off everyone else. sure canada has trouble with immediate care but at least everyone pays for the healthcare. the pay schematic should be similar. The culture is what needs to be changed, this i can live off somebody else idea needs to go, people need to be inspired to work and better themselves and this nation. The health care plan as stated would be a step backwards in my opinion.

People are sheep. Once they are handed a government entitlement they'll cling to it as if it's a holy, sacred God-given right that can never be tampered with. Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Welfare, etc... once enacted, they are permanently chiseled into the American psyche like granite.

There is nothing that can be done anymore. Capitulate to reality and figure out how you can work around it and still keep a roof over your head.
