Hey guys! So last night was Ryan Miller's Catwalk for Charity and it was so much fun! I'm not going to give a hugeeee recap, because I just did it on my blog haha. If you guys want to read it, here is the link to it.

Anyways, so it was just a real great night as always... I'm a pretty reserved person so I always get nervous before the event because I want to be able to socialize with the players, but I just don't want to get nervous around them. So naturally I had some wine to loosen up...and I always forget what a lightweight I am.

Sooo obviously I had to talk to Ryan... I told him how I was in East Lansing over the summer and how I was impressed with the town...we made small talk and I got my picture with him. He was really nice as always. It was pretty early in the night, and someone stumbled past us and dropped their beer bottle and it made a loud noise. Ryan turned to Lalime and was like, "Wow...already?"

I also asked him why he deleted his blog because it was such a good read, and he was like, "Because we didn't win shit when I had it." Haha...good enough reason I guess. I asked him if maybe he would at least update after the Olympics to give us a recap and he said, "We'll see how I feel."

We were standing right by the photobooth and I remember last year I wanted a picture with him in it, but there were a lot of fans asking him last year and he kept saying, "Okay, but this is the last one..." so I didn't want to bother him. So this year there really wasn't a lot of people around who would ask him so I did...and being the nice guy he is he obliged. I kept apologizing to him because I felt bad because I felt like I was being naggy but I couldn't help it haha. He just kept saying, "Nah you're fine."

Except later in the night when the liquid courage was really kicking in, he saw me and was like, "Hey Caroline." and I was like, "YOU'RE PRECIOUS!" and I hugged him and I actually stood up on my tip toes and gave him a kiss on his cheek and then I kissed his hands. Every time I replay that in my head I'm like, ""

I was kind of bummed that Grier didn't mingle around like the rest of the players, I never got a chance to talk to him.

The auction and the fashion show was a lot of fun as always...and my friend Michele won the bidding to have a private wine tasting party with Ryan and the Goose. Her and 10 of her closest friends...hehe.

But something that really made my night is when I talked to Tyler Myers. He came into where I work the day after he scored that shootout goal and I told him how I thought his goal was sick. So I asked him if he remembered that and he was like, "Yeah I do! I read about it on your blog too!" and I was like, "You read my blog?!" and he was like, "Yeah my dad sent me the link!" How cool is that?

Stafford was pretty funny...I heard that he and Tim Connolly bid 20 cents on Patrick Kane's jersey in the silent auction hahahaha...I think that's fucking amazing. He also kept trying to tell me that some really, really tall dude was Tyler Myers.

Anyways I took a bunch of pictures...you can see them all on my Flickr:

Here are some of my favorites...

Why hello there.

I loveee this picture.

And last but not least...

I would also like to add because I'm sure some of you will be pleased to know, that the players weren't really drinking that much...well not as much as in year's past. I don't really think Ryan drank the whole night, whenever I saw him he was drinking water.

Haha okay sorry for the long post...I guess I lied when I wrote in the beginning that I wouldn't post a huge recap.

So funny that Ryan's expression never changes in the photo booth but yours does.

So cute! Glad you had a good time. :)

Caroline, you are my idol. If I were your age and lived near you, we'd be GREAT friends. You are such a crack up. I love the pictures of you and Ryan. You are so lucky.

It's because he's probably thinking, "Just smile...and this will all be over soon." Haha...poor Ryan.

Gaustad looks so unimposing in the pics...hard to believe he's a tough guy.

Where in the hell did Miller get the idea to get Christopher MacDonald to be emcee? It was awesome seeing him in the dream sequence Shooter McGavin get-up in the pics, Caro!

He was at the very first Catwalk. When I see him I was like, "SHOOTER MCGAVIN!!!" I should have said, "I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast." hahahahaha

Ahhh loveitloveitloveit. Next year, I want to go with you and also get sloppy and harass sabres. You should not have to bear that weight alone.
The pictures look great and super vintage, and those stories are the best. I'm glad you had such a great time, thanks for posting about it!

As always, I want to go every year but too poor. Haha. (I'm also going to be here in Indiana every time it happens for the next couple years, so, you know.)

I loved this, though. Ryan Miller is boss.
