Can't find very much right now regarding the match up. I'll edit tomorrow morning.

Oilers: Lose Steve MacIntyre to the Florida Panthers after they claimed him off waivers today.
Buffalo: Retains rights to Adam Mair after not being picked up off waivers

Oilers record (before 11/10 game) 11th overall WC. GP17 W8 L8 OT1 Pts17 GF 52 GA 53
Buffalo record: 3rd overall EC. GP 14 W9 L4 OT 1 pts19 GF 40 GA 33

Which team will show up on Wednesday? The enforcers and the scorers or the uninspired?

2 games is enough of a losing streak for me. Thanks.

Ding.

I'd, personally, like to see Stafford's coming out party be against his uncle's team...again.

Ah the joys of that 10-1 game last season.

Edmonton's playing the Sens, tonight - If the Sabres drop this game, tomorrow night, it will not bode well.

The Oilers just lost in a shootout. And now they have to travel from Ottawa to Buffalo. The Sabres are rested and should be angry after those sad showings.

There is no fucking reason they do not win tomorrow.

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I have the hardest exam of my life to date tonight. I hope to come home to see the sabres up by 10 after the first period to make me feel better. I will be able to see the 2nd period and 3rd period in it's entirety.

I don't care who the fuck is on which line, if they finish their checks, hit hard, backcheck, and shoot the damn puck, and stay away from prettyness...They'll win 90/100 games..... SIMPLE HOCKEY BUFFALO.....

Courtesy of NHL.com:

Sabres look to get back on track vs. Oilers

"Big story -- The Oilers are experiencing a difficult time finding consistency, although they did put up a solid fight on Tuesday night in Ottawa. Gilbert Brule erased a 3-2 deficit with 4:43 remaining in regulation, but the Oilers dropped a 4-3 shootout against the Sens at Scotiabank Place

The Sabres have hit their first rough patch of the season. They're coming off back-to-back weekend losses to Philadelphia and Boston.

Sabres -- After losing only two games in regulation in October, Buffalo enters Wednesday's action with back-to-back losses and three in its last four. The Sabres dropped a 4-2 decision at Boston on Saturday night and went 0-for-7 on the power play in the process.

"The greater issue is our game has lacked energy the last three games," Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff said. "I think the old me might have gone irate and done something a little bit stranger. We've dealt with some sickness. We're going to back off. We're going to get the guys some rest."

Who's hot -- Edmonton forward Dustin Penner, who had 17 goals all of last season, notched his 11th tally on Tuesday night against the Senators and now has 22 points. … After being held scoreless in his first 11 games, Sabres forward Derek Roy has found the back of the net in each of his last three contests.

Injury report -- Oilers forwards Marc Pouliot (sports hernia), Ryan Stone (knee), and Shawn Horcoff (shoulder) and defenseman Sheldon Souray (concussion) are out, while right wing Ales Hemsky (shoulder) and left wing J.F. Jacques (back) are day-to-day. … Sabres backup goalie Patrick Lalime is out indefinitely with a groin injury, while defenseman Toni Lydman (groin) is day-to-day."

I'd say odds are very good that the ice will be shit tonight.

Metallica concert didn't end until almost 11:30. (Not that I am complaining about that mind you.) The crew probably didn't get done tearing down until early in the AM, so I don't expect that the ice was uncovered until the day crews got in today.

I'm expecting chippy play, crappy passes, low scoring game.

Our ice always seems to be shitty more times than not. I wonder if being right by the water plays a role into that.

The building has always had a humidity problem. That has a lot to do with shitty ice.

I would have liked to see them fix that instead of replacing the boards this past off season.

if that's the case Squanto, it should fit the style of play of our boys tonight. They've been seeming to skate in sand on a lot of plays so maybe the slow passes will play a good factor for us! Also, hopefully it slows down the oil. They have some speedsters on their team and slow ice is just what we need against guys like this as opposed to the fast ice they're used to playing on at Rexal Place.

Lookin for a rebound game tonight from the last two games. Lets get it together boys!

I think we'll learn a bit about the Sabres tonight, but the real test will be this weekend with back to back games against 2 great teams.. We gotta stop sucking at those..

FOR FUCK'S SAKE I ALMOST PISSED MYSELF. I was listening to the MP3s of the show, and I swear to God Master of Puppets came on like 30 seconds before I saw that!!

Yeah, that was from the end of the show. As soon as James held that up the place went NUTS. He paraded it around the stage for a bit, then draped it over Lars' drum kit. I was pretty jacked.

My pics of it didn't come out that great, so I bogarted one from their website.

HOLY FUCK! I think I just popped chubby at the sight of the Sabrestallica poster.

Anyways, what the fuck happened to the amazing ice the Sabres had three years ago? I miss that slick sheet.
