I beta tested the last release candidate. It was ok I suppose but windows just isn't sexy no matter how hard Redmond tries.

I should get it since it would run soooooo much smoother than Vista on my laptop.

I have it dual booted with XP.

Don't use it a lot, out of habit, but from what I have used it's almost flawless. Runs as fast as XP, has a sleek interface, and seems very stable. Have not had any compatibility issues ala Vista release.

Not huge on the new taskbar yet, going to give it a little while before I change it to the old style.

UB students can buy it for 7.95 id say thats a pretty decent deal haha. Im gonna get it, so I can get Vista off my Laptop because Vista..well..is Vista and anythings better than it.

Some students who have bought it seem to love it.

It's Ultimate edition too! For Vista, Ultimate was $14.95. They only let you buy one copy, but you can get one x86 and x64 disc with separate licenses.

They claim it's an "upgrade" disc but you can install as full without validating a previous OS and it works fine. I booted from CD and installed onto a separate partition and it took the product key without an issue. So I'm now dual booting XP Pro x86 and 7 Ultimate x64. It's pretty sweet.

I am by no means "that guy"...but you know you can run OS X on your PC hardware now right :D

I regularly use 4 (maybe 5) different operating systems and if I were stranded on a desert island, I would choose OS X.

I think I'm going to find a copy of it to get rid of Vista off of my computer also. Would love to have my crappy laptop run half the resources of Vista. As soon as I get a HDD enclousure I'm going to save my stuff and get rid of Vista.

i dont care about it......

at home i still have XP and it works fine.

on my laptop .... there ' s Vista, but no issues since 1 year.
i can imagine that Windows 7 is better, so on my new laptop there will be W 7

for me Windows 95 is the Best
and Windows ME the Worst

XP was old news. They need to upgrade, but they failed with Vista, 7 is leaps and bounds better than Vista from every source possible.

I don't really know...I had Vista and I didn't really mind it. It seemed like people were referring it as the beginning of the Apocolypse for Christ's sake

Vista hasn't actually been terrible for me, I have just recently been having problems, but it could be do to the computer having no more space, and probably a few random bad things floating around inside of it.
