Hey all. I just thought that since I shared all the bad news about me and my girlfriend last year, I ought to tell you all about the good news as well.

Last weekend, among many strange and remarkable events (including staying in the only house on a block that wasn't damaged by a freak tornado on the coast), I got engaged.

As happy as I am with my relationship, it's hard not to be a little freaked out about the ending of one phase of my life and the beginning of another. I am now officially a middle-aged man. Somebody please tell me how great marriage is.

Every time I see my friends that are still going out to bars and trying to hook up I always think "I'm glad I don't have to do that crap anymore"
