Hecht for Marty and a pick (since goalies are never worth that much; gotta throw in a pick, too).

Git r done, Daaaarcy.

I would probably tell all my friends who don't even know who Sidney Crosby is about that trade all day long if it happened.

Why would the Isles want Hecht?

We're in a Sabres forum. Everyone (including myself most of the time) thinks every else wants Hecht.

Don't you know that every GM is dying to take players we wouldn't mind seeing go.

Back to Buffalo?

The future of Islanders G Martin Biron remains up in the air. There’s no timetable on when G Rick DiPietro’s will return from injury, but the belief is he could be back soon. League sources say the Kings have looked at the possibility of bringing in Biron to lend support to G Jonathan Quick. A more plausible scenario is that Biron will end back with the Sabres to back up G Ryan Miller.

I would love Biron as much as the next person, but all I want is a back up who can play 20-25 games effectively and win about 60% of them. The only way this can happen though is if we get a back up we know the team can rely on and won't play nervously in front of.

Most sources say he's another 2-3 weeks away.

YYYYYYep.

I react to the Ottawa Sun just as I would any source from England that is not the BBC.

The Sporting News said that DiPietro is about a month away, so who freaking knows.......

Plus, will Rick stay healthy for more than a week unlike last season?

I hope someone has a wristwatch with Marty's picture on it, Cause I really don't think he is coming back to Buffalo.

I would be very happy if he did, but I just don't see it happening based on tricky ricks injury history - how many more years are on that contract, 10 or 11?
