It comes from the two years following the lockout - the Leafs were utter shit (and still are LAWLS), the Senators were the cream of the crop in '06 when the Sabres kicked the shit out of them in the second round, the Senators were the thorn in the Sabres' side in '07 and then eliminated them in the ECF, there was the brawl following Neil kill-elbowing Drury, and it's just kept brewing.

I love it.

Pretty much...my dislike for the Senawhores has gone down with departures of Emery, Corvo, Heatley, Meszaros, and Vermette. But out of all the teams in the NE, losing to them leaves an extra bad taste in my mouth.

Last season, I was at a game and the entire arena erupted in cheers when it showed Toronto was beating Ottawa like, 6-2.

THAT is the perfect evidence that the Sens are the most hated rival the Sabres have.

I just want to beat Ottawa because they're creeping on us in the standings. Two games behind us in the NE (However, they are in 10th place in the conference. If the season ended today we'd be the only team in our division in the playoffs...I hope this trend continues all season)
