The New York Rangers are 4-5-1 in their last ten, and 4-7-1 since a seven-game winning streak. They have fallen into a tie for 4th place in the Atlantic division with the Islanders at 23 points.

Still good enough for 6th place in the east, but those underneath them such as Atlanta, Tampa and Ottawa have 3 games in hand.

Out of all the teams in playoff position right now, the Rangers have the most regulation losses.

Even with Gaborik, they are no where near immortal.

The Rangers and Penguins have both become rather "meh" as far as their records go when put in conjunction what they looked like several weeks ago.

Leaky Lundqvist, the sieve.

i find it appalling he was nominated for a veznia just once. you can imagine my distaste at multiple times. to me, in terms of success, hes a poor mans kolzig. solid starter, but not a top tier goaltender.

though, kolzig did have several wonderful seasons, so hence why lundqvist is a poor mans kolzig.

id place at least 5 goalies in the east alone better than him.

The Rangers defense is suspect, too. Watching them verses Atlanta last week, the Thrashers speed absolutely killed them.

The Rangers have won 5 of their last 12 games in November.

They play one more game in November,.

I see Mike Del Zotto has seem to hit a wall all of the sudden, maybe he should have been sent back to the OHL.

He's not even doing as good as he was at the start of the year. 19 year olds who play defense unless the are exceptional should not be in the NHL. Rags will pay for bringing him up too early.

It's at this point that Tyler Myers' value is showing over MDZ's. However, when the season was young, MDZ was clearly the Calder front-runner.

For sure. Myers is hands down a better rookie right now.
